Contest entry: Greening my village

Hello everyone

Good evening, how was your day? I have come to present my entry for this amazing contest and I hope everyone will love it. Is good to make our village or environment very greenish and am sure you know what I mean about make greenish. Special thanks to @steem.indonesia for creating this contest.

What is the meaning of greening and its benefits?

Greening as the do with the series of activities we do daily in other to make our environment comfortable for human and animals. Greening involves so many process known as growing of trees and also other environmental positive process which doesn't have to do with bush-burning. The following are benefits of greening;

• It prevents erosion in our environment.

• It makes it possible for us to eat fresh fruits.

• It serves as source of food for most animals.

• It serves as houses for animals who live in trees and these animals are also useful to us.

• It makes it possible for humans to breath in oxygen as plants breathes out oxygen.

What is the important role of reforestation in preventing floods and landslides?

Reforestation plays a very vital role in preventing floods and landslides as it makes erosion impossible. These trees controls the excessive winds in the atmosphere because if they don't exist, the wind will affect the earth which will cause lots of erosion.

Just like I said earlier, it makes it possible for human beings to breath in oxygen because plants do breath out oxygen and breath in carbondioxide. Reforestation is very good because it prevents flooding in swarms and river line areas.

My surroundings/village is filled with so many trees and plants most especially plantain trees, I do have alot of plantain trees in our little garden and I took a picture in my garden. There are alot of trees in Nigeria as we are all good farmers in this country.

Greening is very important and it also helps in beautifying our village, the color green has to do with vegetation. I plant alot and I will never stop planting as long as it keeps on benefitting me and all those me. I still want to plant more trees anyway and I pray God gives me the strength and grace to do so soon.
