SEC-S6W2 _What do you do when you're bored.
We are all human and boredom is normal in our life. Many times this boredom can cause major upsets in our lives therefore it is important that we learn to control it. Easier said than done I suppose.
Today in my post I will tell you about how I get bored, how I control it and I will share some tips with. Therefore, pay attention and don’t get bored! Best, go make that cup of coffee to sip while you read my post.
For me I especially get bored when I am busy with work doing the same thing over and over and for a few days in a row. I am sure you all have experienced this.
I also get bored when I am not challenged. I do believe that we give our best when we are put to the test. Is that not how we were created after all? With a little bit of competitor spirit.
Our daily activities and responsibilities can also have an impact on us getting bored. We just need to look at COVID-19 and how boredom crept in for all of us due to not performing our daily activities but also because of the stress of our responsibilities. Stress and boredom goes hand in hand.
When you feel boredom, indifference will come into your mind. Attention to work will decrease and you will get tired after a while.
What I always do when I get bored…
- I try to control it normally and don’t let it get me down.
- When I get tired of working for a long time I go outside for a while and I walk.
- I often stop all contact with those I known just so that I can recover my feelings.
- Believe it not, when I get bored while working I take a deep breath every now and then.
- Is set up challenges for myself like find snapping good macro photography photos.
- I make myself a syrup drink with lots of lemons. Drinking lemon juice refreshes both body and mind.
I would like to tell you from my experience for your convenience,
- To get rid of boredom, if it is not possible every day, after two or three days and if it is not possible again, at least one day a week, go outside to refresh your mind.
- Always share your good and bad sides with your loved ones.
- Whenever you have time, try to think about favorite things.
- Start a hobby that will challenge you.
- If you have plenty of time you can go to the movies
- You can listen to favorite songs
- You can read the books you like to read
- Spend time with your favorite personality
- Sometimes you can make a garden in your backyard if you have time
- You can join in the small and big events happening around you
- Playing sport will also take the boredom away
Don’t get upset when you get bored. It happens to all of us. As it is 63% of adults feel at least once in ten days bored. We all have those times when we feel things are missing in our lives.
The beauty is that there is also a positive side to boredom.
• It brings out the creativity side
• Our brains get time to recharge
• Our bodies gets attention
• We get to build our self-esteem
