A little over two weeks ago before this post; I had found a small butterfly that seemed to have been hurt since it could not fly and while I was observing it I was taking several photos, I must tell you before that day I had not had pictures of butterflies in my gallery. Since I observed the butterfly I have not stopped looking at its eyes, they seemed so fascinating and at the same time a little scary, then I tried to get as close as I could to take several photographs of those eyes. While I was taking the pictures in his eyes, I felt looked at 🙄😆 and at a certain moment as threatened 🤨 but I told them that I really enjoyed the moment.😊

At first the butterflies seem to have only two eyes, although really each one of those two eyes that we can see are a set of thousands of very small eyes ... thousands and thousands of eyes looking at me, more terror and fascination it causes me ... that bunch or set of small eyes is called Omatidios and it is estimated that each eye has approximately 17000 omatidios😱, a quite staggering amount and multiplied by two is even more surprising. One of the truly shocking things is that each ommatidia (of the more than 30,000 altogether) has the ability to look in a slightly different direction from the rest and this is the most determining factor that allows the insect to perceive the least movement around it ... and with this I understood why it is so difficult for me to capture an insect😂 ... in a nutshell, those types of eyes can look in thousands of directions at the same time and this is too amazing; nature and its way of impressing us. As child I always thought that there are only two eyes, but later realized that there are so many little building such appearance of one. Amazing, good shots :)
