Memories are great archives of human remembrance. Things we ordinarily forget to keep in touch with, memories make them evergreen to us. Why not relax and get the full gets of my publication on this topic highlighting my 2023 memories in a glance?

Memories play vital roles in our lives. Not just a one-off role but a life experience. The maturity we boost today, and the experience that comes with age are from the memories of events that happened either directly or indirectly to us, eyewitnesses to them, or heard of their occurrences.

Be it bad or good memories, they are all tagged memories and stand as better grounds for ameliorating future bad occurrences or enhancing better deeds we already experienced. Therefore, memories are like our thinking bank for action execution. They are our guide, especially in avoiding present mishaps and the repetition of sad events.

They say experience is the best teacher. Therefore experience can only draw its source from memories kept. We cannot overemphasize the role of memories in our everyday lives as they sometimes create those happy moments we crave each time we remember their previous occurrence.

Different events happened in the year 2023. It was a year filled with activities and they created some lasting memories for me. I can not be ungrateful knowing fully well that I survived 2023 triumphantly.

The first memories created were that of a competition that required that we prepare songs for competition, a bible quiz, an Egg race, and marching. It was a tedious period given the short time to practice and present oneself for the competition. But good enough, it was done as a group which made it a lot easier for each person to choose.

At the end of this competition, we got a trophy for one of the categories. We were happy though did not win in all of the categories but was a good one. This ended with a Thanksgiving service the following day. It was a great memory and worthy of note.

One good thing about memories of this nature is that it prepares us better for the coming years. As we will be embarking on this sometime within the first quarter of the year, we can only prepare well to win more medals.

One of the worst memories of 2023 was death. Death is inevitable, when it comes knocking, there is little or nothing we can do about it.

First, it was an uncle who should be in his eighties after a prolonged ailment. The news of his death came as a shock to most of us as he had just relocated to another city before he was held in the hands of death.

The second which is a little fresh in the memory was that of my grandmother. She left the mother earth in the last days of 2023. Her strength could not carry her any longer. She died in her old age and with her seeing her 3rd generation. Despite the nad news of death which isn't regarded as good no matter the circumstances, we should live a good life when it matters most.
