The Earth, also known as the Blue Planet, is known to support the lives of plants and animals. The Earth's weather conditions are controlled by climates and seasons. The two main types of seasons are the dry and rainy seasons. The subtypes of seasons are summer, winter, autumn, and spring. In this content, I will talk more about the winter and summer seasons. Which one is my favorite? Let's find out together.

The winter season is the season of the year that is characterized by the presence of a white, flaky substance called snow. In Africa, it is characterized by dry, cold winds, and it's called harmattan. This season is predominant from late November to late January or early February. The summer season is one that is characterized by the warmth of the sun and massive vegetation. This season is usually warm and sometimes hot.
The season I love most is the Winter season. The reason I love it is that it's connected to my favorite period of the year, i.e., Christmas. Whenever you see the first snow, it will remind you that Christmas is nearby. In Africa, whenever you feel the first harmattan breeze, then Christmas is around the corner.

The winter season has its advantages for the Earth's citizens. Here are some of them.
- Play or Relaxation: The appearance of snow for children means the beginning of play. The snowy period is often the holiday of students and pupils. This means that they are free to play along with the weather conditions. They use snow to build the legendary snowman, snow castle, etc.
- Promote Family Time: The winter season is usually cold, making everywhere freezing. Some people can just go out without having a destination in mind. The snowy conditions prohibit such movement and drive them back to their house. This, in turn, permits family time to be in progress. Some children may not spend quality time with their parents, but the quality time spent is achievable during this period.
- New Sense of Fashion: Winter coats and other furry clothes will be predominant, making it a trend in the fashion world.

The disadvantages of the winter season include the following:
- Usually Cold: The cold nature of winter can cause different complications or issues for many people. The group of people allergic to the cold is usually victims during this period. Also, people with asthma and other respiratory disorders are also at the mercy of circumstances.
- The Slippery Snow: The snow that covers the exteriors of houses and streets is usually slippery due to the nature of the snow. This makes movement nearly impossible because one might likely get an injury while moving.

Oh God knows how I hate cold. If the Harmattan we've facing in Nigeria is extreme, how much more snow during winter? I thank God we don't have such season here in this state. It's good to know the advantages of winter despite the fact that it had advantages. Thanks for the invite
