in Steem Fashion&Style3 months ago

Good evening everyone. Hope you had a fruitful day. I want to give a special shout out to @sahmie for always keeping the contests interesting with beautiful topics, as well as the Steem Fashion & Style Community.

Home schooling vs Traditional schooling

Traditional schooling refers to a system where pupils/students attend a physical school and learn in a structured classroom setting guided by a curriculum and schedule.
Homeschool refers to a system where children receive education at home with the primary responsibility on parents or guardian.

I'll support the motion of traditional schooling and say that traditional schooling is better than home schooling. These are a few points as to why I am in support of Traditional schooling over homeschooling.

Qualifications

A teacher is someone who is trained to guide and instruct in various subjects with the goal being students acquire knowledge. The job of teachers is quite diverse as they take the role of care givers, mentors to name a few. The teachers are trained with flexible methods to identify the needs of students hence communicating to each child.

A parent or guardian at home might be knowledgeable on a particular subject but is not trained to teach, so he might be moving accordingly to the strength of the child as observed whereas the teachers naturally identify these children and know the best methods for the child

Experience

The teachers (care givers) who open a school interface with different kinds of students and children, they study these different behaviour pattern and improve on methods over time. Teachers have conferences where they discuss traits of students and new methods that could be applied to see that a child is carried along. A parent or guardian at home isn't aware of these help or in a community of experienced hands

Curriculum

The school system over time with different regulatory bodies look into the development of children and came up with a curriculum and guide that directs the learning pattern of students. What topics should come first and what should follow the next. The subjects that should follow each other to bringing out the best strengths of the students. This same curriculum is what the parent or guardian at home looks out for to teach their wards.

Social interaction

Social Interaction

A lot of times we think towards just the negatives of peer pressure. Social interaction and integration helps a child. A child who sees his pairs making a sound would naturally attempt the sound no matter how silently the child does this. In the schools, it is easier to form an association or friendships that could help explain again, lend textbooks or materials which helps the child further.

The different interactions and exposure helps open the mind of the child to process things a little bit better than the child who has been home the entire time. The different sports groups help make children ease into the environment.

Passion

It's true that parents love their children and want the best for them at all times. A teacher is a person who has the passion to pass knowledge and so has the right abilities and timing, knows when to push the child and when to withdraw as opposed to a parents who's parental care would be more of an always soft approach.

Conclusion

There are a lot of points to still raise on the topic, however, I hope, I've been able to touch on a few key points as to why Traditional schooling edges over home schooling.

Thank you for taking time to read my post.

I'll like to invite @paholags @woko-happiness and @aspiya to take this contest.

Wow, that was an excellent article! You've provided a balanced and well-thought-out argument for why traditional schooling has benefits that homeschooling doesn't offer. I especially liked how you mentioned that teachers are trained in identifying the needs of students and providing the best methods for their learning. Your conclusion was also strong, summing up the main points in a concise way. Well done!

Hello @adachukwu. It's beautiful knowing you find time to always go through my post. One would wonder how you always find my post. Thank you for reading my post and leaving a valuable comment. I really think Teachers do so kuch for children and even though their appreciation is always little, I value their contribution a lot.

I wish you all the best. Have a good day
