The Debate (7); why texting is better than calling

in Steem Fashion&Style7 months ago

This week, our friend @sahmie asked us whether texting or calling is preferable. As a debate enthusiast, I decided to enter this contest even though I had missed it the previous week.

In today’s fast-paced world, communication plays a vital role in our daily lives. As well in today's digital world, both calling and texting have a prominent place. You all are aware, that both have advantages and disadvantages as well.

However, I would prefer to text rather than call. This is because text messages are both quick and intrusive. People have no time to make phone calls in today's hectic world. But texting is an efficient and time saving and reliable method. Answering phone calls frequently necessitates adequate time for both parties. However, we can send text messages whenever we want.

When compared to phone calls, text messages are a more cost-effective mode of communication. Because text messages can be sent to a large group at once, they save us both time and money. Therefore, by sending text messages, we can reduce communication costs while maintaining effective and dependable customer relationships.

Text messages boost response rates as well. When a person is in a meeting or having an important discussion, the individual may be unable to answer the phone call, but when a person receives a text message, that person can respond with a text message at any time.

Not only that text messages can be used as a written record of communication. These records can be used as evidence at any time.

When we text, we can include photos, videos, audio messages, and even documents. Therefore, texting has become a popular and appealing mode of communication.

Texting is a very reliable and simple way to send a reminder notification of a meeting or an appointment. Additionally, it is convenient and flexible because we can send and receive text messages from anywhere, at any time, as long as we have a mobile phone.

Texting offers us additional features such as read receipts, typing indicators, group chats, and the ability to share location or contact information. These features enable us to improve our communication experience.

If the call is urgent, we can notify the person with a text message saying, ‘’Urgent Please call”, then the recipient knows the call is very urgent and the person can make time to call us immediately. If the person is unable to receive the response call, he can express himself via text message and inquire about the urgency.

Considering the foregoing, I believe texting is more convenient than calling.
