The Debate (2); Knowledge vs Imagination, which is better?

Hello, @sahmie. When I saw the contest announcement, I wanted to participate, but due to my busy schedule, I had to postpone it. But as there are more dates, I don't think that I am not too late to participate. This week's debate is about which is superior: knowledge or imagination. Hum.. now let's see how my idea is?

By participating in this contest I decided to start with knowledge. Knowledge, in my opinion, is similar to a large toolbox. Imagine that this box contains a map, a compass, and a flashlight. Now close your eyes and consider that you are in a dark forest. You want to know where you are and where you want to go right now. Are you aware that tools in this toolbox help understand your surroundings? For that, you can use a flashlight and compass, as well as a map. Now you can understand how these tools can assist you in determining and comprehending your location. That is how knowledge, always helps you to put your imagination to reality. We gain knowledge from teachers, books, and our own experiences. It's like adding more and more tools to our toolbox. Knowledge allows us to understand how things work and make wise decisions.

Let us now turn our attention to imagination. Imagination is like having a superpower. Imagination allows us to create worlds in our minds. It could be a daydream about traveling to another country, inventing a new invention, or winning a game. Imagination is about dreaming and making things up. Dreaming and making up stories are examples of imagination. It's like a magic stick that transforms ordinary things into extraordinary ones. When we imagine, we generate new ideas. Imagination allows us to solve problems and find things in novel ways.

Some argue that knowledge is king because it allows us to expand on what we already know. Some people believe that imagination is the true hero because it allows us to go places we have never been before.

But my idea is different; imagine you have a toolbox full of knowledge; to create something incredible from that toolbox, you use your imagination. That is, without knowledge, you cannot fulfill your imagination. On the other hand, you can't fulfill your dreams or your imagination if you don't have knowledge. To create a new invention and fulfill your dreams, you need both knowledge and imagination. It is like salt and sour, we need both salt and sour to give a good taste to our curry or salad. Without salt and sour, we can't prepare tasty curry. Therefore, I can argue that both imagination and knowledge work parallelly, in this adventure life, to make the journey ever more exciting.
