This is my second participation in the drawing contest hosted by @drhira and was tasked to draw “natural scenery”

Let me not lie I was tempted to draw a butterfly after going through the images displayed on our challenge because I know it will be simple to draw and won’t stress me. Then I remembered “Mother Nature”.

HOW I WAS INSPIRED BY NATURE!!!

Why I was inspired to draw “Mother Nature” is because every thing we are in this life today is related to nature. The basic needs of man, “food, clothes and shelter” is all possible because of nature. Even the good air we breathe, we owe it all to nature. I know some people will want to know how?? The answer is through ”photosynthesis” The trees convert the carbon dioxide we exhale into fresh oxygen, and they can also remove toxins from the air we breathe. So, you see how vital Mother Nature is to our wellbeing.

STEP 1

Like I mentioned the last time, I am not good using pen alone because I won’t be able to erase my mistakes. So, I started off with pencil this time. To make the work easier for me. So all I had to do was start by drawing a lady who is squatting down and with some tree branches on her.

STEP 2

After I was done with the pencil drawing, I started tracing it with the pen to make it look more realistic and more clearer because with pencil alone, it won’t be clear enough. Then I added leaves and turned her into a tree. Turning her into a tree was inspired by a cartoon I saw recently. In the cartoon, she was the protector of the forest.

STEP 3

I started shading the picture to make it look more alive since I don’t have colors. I believe that way, it will make it look more attractive.

STEP 4

That’s me holding up my picture after I was done drawing and I feel a bit proud of myself after the art work.

Thanks for this opportunity giving me the chance to showcase a part of me that has been long gone for a while now.
