SFS Contest Week 8 | Shocking Moments

It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which is titled "Shocking Moments" which was organized by @ashkhan. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @entity01, @mesola, and @josepha to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

For week 8 of the shocking moments contest, I would like to share with you all my experience which has to do with fear and shock at the same time. It's raining season already and every plant around here is growing rapidly.

I went out and couldn't return on time because I did what I intended to do where I went I didn't finish it and also I had to ensure I finished before coming back home since I wouldn't want to return to the place the next day.

While coming home, there was this bush track I decided to follow because I wanted to arrive home. On-time since I was already late and there was no bike going in my direction on that night. While going I saw something along the road that made my head swell so big.

It was something that they call "Patalwa" here in the area where I stay. I became so scared and then I ran back to the roadside because what I saw was just standing on the road and couldn't move.

When I went back and saw some people by the road and then told them what I had seen, they said I might have been telling the truth but I should just go back because before I got there again the thing may have disappeared.

With fear in me, I refused to go back alone and I pleaded with those around to please escort me back home because I always see and feel that the thing can still be there. They asked me to wait for a while so that I could join others who were going in my direction in a few hours so that we could go back together.

So that was exactly what happened to me on that very day that made me so shocked and the fear in me increased. I should have not stayed out this late is the thought that ran through my mind all through that period and I wish I didn't have such an encounter.

From that moment, I decided never to stay out late again, especially during this period when crops have grown this tall. Usually, the area has never been this scary until now so that was the incident that brought about the shocking moment of my life in the just concluded week.
