As early as 5:30am I was awake from my sleep. There is a yearly program going on in my church, which I always attend in the morning by 6am and also in the evening. I got up from my bed, woke my family, and prepared for the early service. We all went for the program and got home past 7am.

I did some necessary clean ups, swept the house, washed the dirty dishes, and headed to the bathroom to have my bath. Then my dad informed me that I should follow him get the dog food.

We went to the other compound where he parked his car. He saw that thieves broke in and vandalized his car. They broke the tinted rear window glass and took the central window control of the car. The view destabilised my dad; he was deeply hurt, and I felt it too.

The mistake we made was that we didn't release the dog into the other compound to protect our properties. I felt so bad for our negligence. He could not go out again with the car so we returned back to the house.

I and my mum went to a nearby market to buy few things in the afternoon, I had to go with her to assist her with some loads because she wouldn't be able to carry them all. Heading to the market, I saw my secondary school chemistry teacher. I was so surprised to see him because I never knew I would see him in my area. It's about 3–4years since I set my eye on him. We exchanged pleasantries and asked about my school.

We got back home from the market, then I went to the kitchen to fetch beans to cook. I picked out the dirt from the beans, washed them, and poured them into the pot to cook. After I was done cooking the beans, I served everyone at home.

It's about evening. I had my bath around 7pm and did some preparation to attend a night vigil in my church. My elder sister just returned home from work, she surprised me with chicken and 5alive.

We sat and devoured the chicken while we were eating. I told her about my dad’s car, and she was sad about the incident.

I was already prepared to go to church, so she had to tell me to wait for her so we could go together.

We got to church around 10pm anticipating for the night vigil, which is to commence at 12am.
