The Debate (no.40); Comedy or drama
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed Comedy or drama as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @sahmie
Both drama and comedy have what they offer and what we gain from watching any of them. To this, choosing between drama and comedy depends on what I am in the mood for while growing up it was a drama that I loved watching which I don't know if it was because at that time comedy shows weren't that popular, but as I have grown up to this stage I generally find comedy shows more entertaining than drama shows.
What makes me like comedy is that comedy has a way of making me laugh, uplifting my spirit, providing me with an escape from everyday stress, and in addition making my tough situations in life look smaller. Comedy can make one who has been sad for days or someone who hardly laughs, to laugh and forgets about his or her sorrow at that particular moment of his or her life. The reason why comedy is what I prefer is because comedy is an instant mood booster that energies our souls.
On the other hand, drama shows offer us a deep emotional engagement and often tackle complex, thought themes that are provoking. One thing I don't like about drama is the hour of watching and how suspense drama shows are. Drama can be incredibly compelling and satisfying, most especially when I want to be absorbed in a story that makes me feel deeply or think.
If I want to relax for long hours thinking about how a story would end I do watch drama, but the truth is it has been a long I watched drama and I cannot remember the last time I sat down and watched a drama from A to Z unless comedy which I do watch almost every day online.
So far so good, and in summary, if I want to relax and have a good laugh, it is a comedy to go for. But when I am in the mood for something intellectual or resonates emotionally, it is drama that I go for. In all and all as a busy person, I hardly watch drama because of time, but I do watch comedy as it is more common than drama.
