Democracy or dictatorship: Which is better for stability and progress?

Let's look at the words like this;

Democracy is the government of the people, for the people and by the people. This means, people jointly participate in the decision making of the government's policies.

Dictatorship is a form of government in which the ruler is not restricted by constitution. This means the leader decides for the people for or against their will.

Democracy is better for stability and progress because in democracy ideas are shared compared to dictatorship where the leader decides what suits his interest in most cases.

How does democracy help a country move forward compared to a dictatorship?

Democracy helps a country move forward,
There is an adage by my people that "It's only many hands that can lick a bad soup"

Democracy helps a country move forward
In democratic government representatives from every part of a community who have vast knowledge come to brainstorm and come up with positive solutions to issues at hand.

Fundemental human rights are observed in a democracy where freedom of conscience and thought, speech, fair hearing etc are observed. These make people engage freely in any trade the benefits their lives.

The joint participation in democracy, resources are spread to the participants and this wealth will help them develop themselves and their family members.

In a democracy, every representative of his community will struggle for a developmental project for his community, there is equal representation in the government, but in a dictatorship, only a few are appointed by the leader and he always has the saying.

It's in a democratic government that each representative member is given a constituency allowance for developments.

Can a dictatorship handle tough times better than a democracy?

Yes, of course especially in in the developing countries of the world where democracy is still crawling.

In most cases dictatorship government doesn't seek the majority opion to act, If there is disorder anywhere, she acts immediately, unlike a democracy where it has to undergo a serious debate process before.

Dictatorship government deals with issues then and there. If there is mayhem, the break of law and order,it deploys the necessary security agents to put a halt to it.

Why is personal freedom important for a country to grow under different types of governments?

Personal freedom allows one to engage in any legitimate venture, it also makes room for constructive criticism, and through that, the authority can sit up.

This legitimate freedom allows business flow leading to the progress of any nation.

Business activities boost when people have personal freedom to invest. By buying and selling, others will be engaged to carry out productive activities.

In a nutshell, democracy is better for stability and progress than dictatorship. And also, the dictatorship government handles tough issues faster and better.

Finally, personal freedom brings faster growth and development.

This is my story for the week and I would like to invite @vickyson @josepha and @simonnwigwe to join the contest.
