The Debate (7); why Texting is better than calling.

INTRODUCTION

I'm excited to participate in the week 7 Debate where we are expected to share our opinions about CALLING and TESTING. This reminds me of my secondary school days when we always participated in both Debate and Quiz. Below is my opinion about this topic.

In today's high-tech world, we've got all sorts of ways to keep in touch. When it comes to connecting with friends and families texting and calling are like the OG methods. They're super easy, and everyone's doing it. Even granny knows how to send a text 😆

Texting and calling each have their pros and cons. Like, calling is great for getting an immediate response, but it can be disruptive if the other person is busy. Texting is less interruptive, but it can take longer to get a reply. In my opinion, texting is the way to go. It's easier to stay connected, and you can respond whenever it's convenient for you.

Let's just say that texting is super convenient. It's easy to use, and you can send messages from anywhere. You don't have to worry about disturbing the people around you, and you can even type with one hand. All in all, it's the best way to stay in touch while you're doing other things.

Texting is super useful in places where it would be rude to make a call, like on public transport, in a library, or a meeting. It's also great for when you just want to send a quick message without having to talk to someone. And you can respond whenever it's convenient for you. It's the perfect solution for when you need to communicate without causing a disturbance.

Texting gives you the ability to respond at your own pace, which is a huge advantage over phone calls. You can take the time to think about your response, and you don't have to worry about interrupting the other person. This also gives you a chance to craft a thoughtful and well-worded message, which can be important when you're trying to communicate something important.

And it's not just about time management - it's also about creating a more relaxed and stress-free environment for communication.

Texts are a permanent record of the conversation, so you can always go back and refer to them later if you need to. This can be helpful if you need to remember something specific, or if you need to refer back to a previous conversation. You can just pull up a text and double-check the details if you're unsure. It's like having a written record of the conversation that you can access at any time.

Texting is great for most situations, but there are times when a phone call is the better option. For example, if you need to get an answer right away, or if you need to have a conversation that requires immediate feedback, a phone call is the way to go. And of course, sometimes it's just more personal to have a conversation over the phone.

It can be hard to convey tone and emotion through text, so a phone call can be more effective for sensitive or emotional topics.

In Cnclusion

We indeed live in a digital age where texting has become the norm. It's fast, easy, and convenient, and it allows for clear and concise communication. It also doesn't require the same level of attention and focus as a phone call, which can be a relief in our busy lives. And like I mentioned above it's not as intrusive, which can be a big plus. It's fascinating to see how texting has become such a dominant form of communication.

With this point of mine, I hope I have been able to brainfeed you and not brainwash you that texting is better than calling.

I'm inviting @goddybest, @okere-blessing, and @emmy01 to participate in this contest.

Thanks for the invite first.

This is a very good debate and your points are well explained showing how you prefer text to calls. I think my own opinion is the other way round. In some cases somethings can't be discussed or expressed through text but can be done through calls. Well you actually have brainfeed me to agree with you.

I hope to brainfeed you also with my participation soon...

😂😂😂😂
Please i Want to be brain fed and thank you for reading.

Hola amigo 👋😀👋😀👋

Absolutely agree! The convenience of texting in our digital era is unparalleled. It's a game-changer in communication, offering efficiency and the luxury of responding at our own pace. The non-intrusiveness is a major plus, allowing for meaningful connections without the pressure of immediate responses. The evolution of communication methods is indeed fascinating!

You have justified the topic by providing substantial ideas; without allowing others to undermine your point. Good luck with the contest.

You have chosen to write, its advantage is that when we are in the office or at any place where speaking loudly or keeping the phone ringing on is not allowed, two people can communicate through writing there. let's talk and exchange our views Best of luck , may you achieve wealth , health , success and prosperity in your life Greetings from my side .
