Contest: Farmers feed the World
One can be said to be a farmer if he cultivates crops or rear of animals/livestocks. Farmers are said to be great people which are held in high esteem in the world because of the great and important role they play in the smooth running of the society.Famers grow crops in the farm. Farmers also grows livestock depending on the part they focus on. Farmers could be classed based on how large their farm is and their objective.We have commercial famers and non-commercial farmers.;all working for the needs of all. For the commercial farmers, they produce crops or other farm products for the general public. For the non-commercial farmers, they grow crops and livestock for the consumption of their household. When asked , what do farmers do..,be it commercial or non commercial ,farmers work at satisfying the needs of the people.
Farmers are important people in the society. without farmers in the society,the life's of people wouldn't be sustained. This great people provides the Earth's inhabitants with what to eat. Farmers produces a wide range of worthwhile crops such as maize, vegetables, fruits, grapes, spices to mention but a few. That is in the aspect of food stuffs. Coming to meat, livestock farmers provides users with assorted types of meat such as pork, beef, Rabbit etc..and also sources of proteins like eggs of chicken and turkey are highly consumed by the society as it is necessary for growth. If not for the farmers, this wouldn't have been made possible. I can further say that farmers are really important in the society because farmers who take on it in a commercial way create job opportunities to people. People are being employed to work in their farms. Doing this reduces the rate of unemployment in the society.

Talking about the socio-economic condition of farmers in my area, I can convincing say that farmers are doing great. Farmers are financially Librial. When I say that I don't really mean that the are always overly rich although some are, I mean that they fair well. Farmers never lack what to eat because they are cultivaters of crops and livestock. Farmers are always healthy because they eat varieties. As we all know, farmers do have what to offer the public,and they can't cheat on themselves.Before they offer out what they got, they have satisfied themselves .
Why do you think people don't want to be farmers anymore?
People shy aware from becoming farmers because they feel that it has a whole lot of uncertainties and loss in it. like in the case of poultry birds,they could be an outbreak of an airborne diseases among the birds which will lead to great loss as the birds will die at high rate, making the farmers to be left with no gain.Crops planted can yield very low that it does not equate to the efforts made by the farmers. It doesn't pay off, so people shy aware from it. Most people don't want to be farmers anymore because they feel the work in it is too much. Inadequate infrastructures is one thing that draws a whole lot of people back from becoming a farmer. Because of the lack of modern technology, people don't what to become farmers.
