The Debate (no.27); equality and equity.

I am glad to pick out points and as well convince my dear readers and friends on these two words given as the debate topic. Thank you very much for the contest @sahmie

Tell us what you understand by equality and equity.

This word equality means an act of being impartial. Treating people on thesame page and rate. This word comes to play when a husband marries two wives and decided to treat them equally without giving one love than the other. When a father loves his children in equal rate which at that point we can say that the father is not partial and he treats the children equally.

Equity simply means treating people fairly, the act of treating people equally at the right time and as expected. What a father buys for his siblings should be equal without any form of partiality. Doing what you are supposed to do in the context of equality is what is referred to as equity. Lastly, equity means being very fairy in business and all round.

Their various advantages and disadvantages.

Since equality and equity has almost thesame meaning, the advantages of these two words can possibly be the same as well as the disadvantages. For every advantages there must surely be disadvantages which I want to point them out as you get convinced on my explanation on the above two words.

• Equality brings about peacefulness of a place, be it a country, a class, a gathering and especially our families.

• Equity and equality leads to quick understanding

• Being fair in everything attracts respect from people.

• Equity makes one feel trusted to be given leadership.

Disadvantages of Equality & Equity

• When there is equality and equity, everyone will feel "own my own" i.e there will be no respect for one another why because they are treated equally.

• Lack of submission

• When everyone is treated equally, those who are more hardworking will not be appreciated for their good and better works.

Then your personal opinion on which prioritize.

I will priotize equity because treating people fairly is the best thing you could ever do for someone in life. I have seen a situation where a poor woman took a case to the court however, the person she sue to court happens to be a rich person so he bribed the judges and the case went off. Treating people fairly is what I love and would love to do.
