My warm greetings to all the steemians in this community, participants of this great debate and a special greetings to @sahmie my humble moderator who is the organizer of this debate. I'm here today to support the motion which says that "Childhood Is Better Than Adulthood" with the following points of mine.👇🏾

"Adulthood na scam you better get am for your mind", let me say this was a heart touching lyrics written and sang by one of the Nigerian popular artist (Lade). Truly adulthood is a scam because you have to hustle 247 before you can feed in a day. During adulthood stage, responsibilities will just sit you down as an adult and tell you "I'll deal with you from now on". This is not a threat but the real facts.

I can remember when I was a child, food wasn't my problem, clothing, shelter, upkeep and uncountable responsibilities, the problem I had was to eat, play and sleep. But today here I am, I can't sleep 2 eyes closed because of different thought running through my mind. Every night I'll be like, "Morning is fast approaching, will God send manna from heaven so that I'll feed on ?". Providing food for myself was not my responsibilities when I was a child. So the first point I've highlighted why I choose childhood over adulthood is responsibilities.

I only heard the word "hustle" when I was a child, but didn't know what it meant. Today I'm an adult and I need no one to define hustle for me, I'm the one defining it for myself. I've worked and toil so hard both hard and soft labour since i entered adulthood stage. Things I didn't do when i was a child such as hustling is what I'll starve for days if I don't do it. Hustling hard during adulthood stage is another key points why i choose childhood over adulthood.

When I was in school, I heard about being independent but didn't really give listening ears because I thought it's none of my business, little did i know that i won't remain a child forever. That word "Independent" is the number 3 key point why i choose childhood over adulthood. When you're an adult, don't expect to stay under your parents roof because they'll get tired of you and you may not like the outcome, it can lead to hatred.

As an adult, independency will take place with immediate effect, and with the high cost of products now in Nigeria it'll be very hard to survive out there. To stay independent as an adult, clothing, housing and feeding yourself will be your responsibility. Did you think of this when you were a child? No, what a life without stress and worries, I truly miss childhood. This is march and May is already at the corner, my house Rent will expire who'll pay, its me of course because I'm now an adult.

I've highlighted 3 key point why i support the motion that says that "Childhood Is Better Than Adulthood" which are; Responsibilities, Hustling and Independency. I'm sure with those brief points of mine, I've been able to convince you that Childhood Is Better Than Adulthood.
