A great greeting to all my fellow Stemians and those who make life in this great community. I am very pleased to participate in this new contest, promoted in this community, which invites us to talk about our singer and favorite song.

The truth is that I am a young man who likes a lot for music, therefore I listen to many singers, but without hesitation, my favorite singer is Ricardo Arjona.

Ricardo Arjona was born on January 19, 1964, in Antigua, Guatemala. Help from him for music begins from a very child, so since a child he began playing the guitar and, during his entire student stage, he combined the subjects with music, with better results in the second that in the second First.

At age 21 he produced the first album of him, "Déjame Decir que te Amo"; disk from which he was not very pleased, so he leaves music for 5 years, and he devoted himself entirely to teaching, teaching children of scarce resources from which he also learned from life and survival.

After a while, he was presented for the opportunity to record a record, and from there he came out "S.O.S. Rescatame", then came "Jesus: es Verbo no Sustantivo", which was the final revelation of Ricardo Arjona as a composer and interpreter throughout Latin America and the United States.

After that, he moved to Mexico, where he composed the main theme of "Alcanzar una Estrella", a very successful soap opera who announced Ricardo Arjona internationally, not only as a composer and interpreter, but also as actor.

The album, "Animal Nocturno", was the work for the definitive consolidation of him as one of the most valuable and interesting artists of recent years. In addition, this album got the greatest international success, and gold and platinum album in large number of countries, including the United States.

"Independiente" is the tenth album of Ricardo Arjona and was published in October 2011, where it includes 14 songs that speak of love, lack of love and politics, among other topics.
