Zinia graceful or better known by the scientific name Zinnia elegans is one of the most famous annual flowering plants of the genus Zinia. This plant is native to Mexico, but grows as an ornamental plant in many places and is widespread in several places, including Central and South America, the West Indies, the United States, Australia and Italy.

Graceful Zinnia Plant History

this species was first discovered in 1789 in Tixtla. This plant was then officially given the name Zinia violacea by Cavanilles in 1791.

Garden zinias are created through hybridization of growing zinnias that grow in the wild. Giant zinnia has a flower head shape with a diameter of 6 inches.

Flower colors range from white and cream to pink. Some have striped, speckled or bi-colored petals. For the dwarf type, it is less than 6 inches and about 3 feet (90 cm) high.
