Weekly Home made food recipe contest || Sri Lankan Potato Toffee recipe.
As we all know, potato in any form is tasty. Potato toffee which are a delicate snack with a cup of tea in evening are another example for that. Those are really sweet, melted in mouth and now I am about to tell you how Sri Lankans make those step by step.
Ingredients.
- 500g of Potatoes.
- Milkmaid 400ml or 1/2 of coconut milk. (I used Milkmaid.)
- 3 Cardamoms.
- 1 drop of Vanila.
- 1 cup of scraped coconut.
- 1 tea spoon of margarine.
1.Boiled the potatos, bash up and keep those aside.
2.Add sugar to the heated pot.
3.Then add Milkmaid or Coconut milk.
4.Stir it untill sugar melts.
5.Now add Cardamoms, scraped coconut, vanila, margarine and mashed potatoes to the pot.
6.Stir the mixture untill it becomes thick.
7.Now add this thick mixture to a pan, flatten it and cut square pieces.
Now you can enjoy these delicate potato toffees.
