Hiking The Boiling Spring

Welcome back everyone for another look at our adventure. The other day we took a small road trip to find a spring that looks like it is boiling. It was about an hour away, and it was definitely worth the drive.

I can't believe how blue the water is. I believe it is from a certain algae in the stream that gives it that blue color. The water was flowing fast and beautiful. It said that it was over 180,000 gallons a day!

When the water comes up from under the mountain, it hits some giant rocks at the very beginning. This gives it a boiling look. The water is super cold, but it looked like it was boiling hot.

Where this is located, it is a tributary to a larger river system. So there is a whole park that is built around this spring, and you can follow it all the way until it hits the river.

Up around the spring it had an awesome rock cliff and some trails. It had more running water and a few caves. I took more pictures.....but they didn't come out quite nice haha.

I did get a couple of shots of Stacie D (@freedomtowrite), one with our dogs and the other one she is messing around with my sister.

One thing that we said before we left the farm in Michigan was that we wouldn't settle. Sometimes we go into an area and we sort of just adapt. We want to keep the spirit of adventure alive, and really appreciate where ever we are.

We still have no idea how long we are going to be in this area. Sometimes things work out really well. Maybe I might even make a few dollars while we are here. No matter how long though, each day comes with an amazing amount of opportunity to do something!!
