PASSPORT

Your passport is the most critical item to bring on a trip. Without it, you won't get very far. One final check for the vital little book isn't a bad idea after you've checked off your pre-trip checklist and before you set foot outside. EU citizens travelling within Europe may only require their ID or driver's licence, but this often varies on the airline, therefore we recommend keeping a copy of your passport with you at all times. Make sure your passport is in good condition before you leave for your trip. It's always a good idea to obtain a new passport at least six months before your current one expires, so keep an eye on it and order one in plenty of time.

UNDERWEAR

Don't forget to bring plenty of thongs for your journey (and maybe two or three extras). If you run out of underwear while travelling, you can always wash it. Keep your dirty laundry in a separate, thin bag so it doesn't become muddled with your clean clothing while travelling. These are one of the most important list in Best Luggage To Travel To Europe too.

SOCKS

Socks are essential because they prevent your feet from rubbing against your shoes when you're out and about a lot. If you're going somewhere chilly, bring thick socks, and if you're going to be walking around town in sneakers, bring ankle socks.

PHONE CHARGER/PORTABLE PHONE CHARGER

We've all experienced the agony of running out of battery while driving. Make sure to pack a portable phone charger so that you can charge your phone while you're on the go! You don't want to miss out on great photo opportunites when you're lost in the city.

CLOTHES

When it comes to clothing, it's tough. Depending on where you're travelling, you may want to pack a combination of light and warm clothing. Make sure to check the weather forecast before you leave and pack accordingly. Bringing only what you absolutely need is an art form when you're travelling with a rucksack that's already at capacity.

If you're planning to go hiking, snorkelling, partying or skiing while on vacation, you'll need to pack the essential clothing. Regardless of what you want to do while you're away, you'll need the proper attire. If you're planning a long vacation, make sure the hostel you're staying at offers a laundry facility so you can wash and reuse your clothing.

WATERPROOF MAC

You'll need a waterproof jacket with a hood for your excursion. If you're planning a trip to a city that is prone to rain, it's a good idea to pack some waterproof clothing. You should look for a light and compact macbook that is easy to pack (a pack-a-mac is always a good shout and you can buy them cheap on Amazon or Primark).
