Hello everyone in steemfarm-market community. How are you all doing. Hope you are doing great. I greet you specially my admins and fellow farmers.
To my fellow moderators I say welldone.

I am delighted to write again in this community.

Today I will be telling you all how I visited my farm and harvesting my products for family consumption.

The last time I wrote, I visited my plantain plantation, harvest them to the market for sale. Though it was cheaper on getting to the market but it's saves the family alot.

So this time, I wanted to cook vegetable soup and in this apart of my country, we are in dry season and as such there is no fresh leaf again and the few available are very expensive.
As a farmer, I didn't bother about that, all I had to do was to visit my farm and harvest them for family consumption.

So I went to the farm where I planted my vegetable, the farm is close to my house.

My water leaf

The water leaf needs a lot of care this time that we are experiencing lack of rainfall as a result of dry season. So I used to come here once a day to water it. Though there are some days I can't make it due to my busy schedule.

I am so happy that I planted this water leaf because it has saves us a lot of money. I don't buy water again, if I want to cook I will come here and cut it. Something I would be buying with not less than 3 steem for a pot of soup. But here I get it free of charge because I planted it.

And here, I am cutting my pumpkin leaf.

This my pumpkin leaf has save me alot too. But one problem I have with it, is that goat is not allowing it grow the way it supposed to grow. Goat has been coming to eat off the leaf and the steem. Since I am not always there to watch over it. The goat will always come and eat it. So to protect it, I took it up to the fence and it grow on the fence. So I harvested alot of pumpkin leaf too which would have cost me alot of money.

And when I return home, I prepare them and make soup for the family.

Now my vegetable soup is ready.

Wow! As you can see from the above picture and write up, I didn't buy any of those leaves which are expensive to get because of dry season. I got them free of charge because I planted them.
