Hello fellow steamians, it is a great pleasure of mine to be here today as part of this noble community @steemfarm-market to participate in this wonderful contest. Organic farming is now something most advanced and sophsticated farmers of these days consider innate, with all the irrigation machines which allow cultivation even in the dry season. This is why I am really honored to participate in this contest, to get the chance to shed a light on what we can preserve by indulging in organic farming.

Organic farming is the art of using fertilizers of natural origin like compost, green manure, to improve nutrients of the soil for cultivation. We could basically say organic farming relies on ecosystem management rather than artificial agricultural input. Organic farming protects society as well as the environment by eliminating the use of artificial agricultural input like pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified seeds, and many others. The use of natural fertilizers not only just produce a good yield for farmers, it also increases soil fertility and prevents pest and diseases. Organic farming makes it possible for a healthy crop rotation cycle, organic nutrient management, growing cover crops, relying on renewable resources, and recycling materials.

Tools needed to work on an organic farm.

In Organic farming, all you need are the basic tools every farmer use even those on conventional farms, and some of those are Tractor, Plow, Harrow, and seeds. Timing is the most important tool in organic farming when to plant and when to harvest are the key factors t organic farming, a wrong timing could lead to loss of productivity. We need all those tools above to firstly plow the land to be cultivated, which is where the tractor and the plow come in handy. Then, we also need to disperse the seed over the land, this could be done manually by just spraying the seed over the land, but in cases the land is huge, then comes the harrow which does the job of seeding. After seeding, we then nurture the crops to grow healthy by cleaning unwanted weeds growing in your crops to avoid unseen infections. Once the crops are grown and ready we need to cultivate which in this case the tools you will need for harvest are different in respect to the crops planted like with grain crop produce we need a combine harvester to cultivate and with corn we need a corn harvester.

Conditions Under which an Organic Farm should be.

Organic farming is more about respecting nature and what it yields, so it could be a bit tricky to set a generalised condition under which organic farming can be practiced but there are a few things a farmer ought to consider. When practicing organic farming, there shall be no use of any synthetic fertilizer of any sort or dangerous chemical or genetically modified seeds. Basically organic farming is valid or posible as long as it does not have any negative impact on the environment.

What to know about Organic farming.

Organic farming is geared towards mitigating the issue of global warming by providing a natural and sustainable source of food. The main principle of organic farming is the principle of health, the principle of ecology, the principle of fairness, and the principle of care. The principle of health stands against the use of dangerous chemicals that leaves residues that have a negative effect on the crops and the environment. The principle of ecology involves utilizatizing environmental friendly techniques to foster the soil. The principle of fairness advocates a respectful attitude to all farmers practicing organic farming. Lastly, the principle of care also encourages the wise use of resources for the upcoming future generations. Another interesting factor to know about organic farming is the high market price for certified organic produce on the market because of the limited supply of organic products on the market. This also results in high demand for organic crops.
