FREEZING WINTER BIRTH - SHE NEEDED HELP (I Slept in the Barn)
This worked out surprisingly well!
I'm not sure why I slept in the barn during a winter storm warning, but I'm glad I did. Flower, one of our Jacob's Sheep ewes, went into labor about 2 am, and thankfully I had just woken up. After watching her labor for a while, it seemed that she got hung up. The video footage only captures part of it, since the camera batteries were cold and dying early. After watching her suffer for long enough, I chose to step in and help her deliver the lamb. This was my first time helping one of our Jacob's Sheep give birth, but I'm glad that it went well. So far both her and her lamb are doing well.
🥶 Yikes!
