RE: Paranormal Hivemind Community
Hey @holovision. Didn't know you were into this stuff. I am also. Been enjoying discovering some cool products daily on SteemHunt, so even not considering in the HUNT income it is a valuable daily endeavor. I have been seeing mention of the new "communities" feature here on Steemit, so I joined your new community to get some "hands on" experience. Also, I see that you're in Los Angeles region. I lived there for about 1.5 years, and in San Diego for 1.5 years - back in 2004 -2007 timeframe. There were some good things and some bad, and I was dirt poor, but was able to do some good exploring on my mountain bike (especially in the LA region) - spending more of my days "cafe/library-hopping) from one region of the city to another, engaging in some hobby photography in the process...

Yeah, I was wondering how you were able to consistently keep up posting one hunt per day. I can totally understand why you would want a break. Like I said, the sell of HUNT I did to you included the original airdrop I got (including for the delegation I did from the beginning), so you aowed me to do the major liquidation of HUNT. It will take a while to build it back up, so I'm simply going to focus on using the site to discover new products. I will NOT expect to make ANY additional $$$ from SteemHunt, but if after 2-3 years there is ENOUGH HUNT in there to do another sell (or if the price goes up substantially) I will consider it "bonus" crypto, as use the proceeds to buy assets in whatever game(s) I am paying a that time. As long as people keep posting interesting hunts I will browse daily and upvote a handful. I HAVE discovered some useful products (may of which are downloadable, and useful daily), so there is still value in SteemHunt as far as I'm concerned.
As for voting, I SUPPORTED one specific candidate in the past presidential election, and actually won a $25 BTC bet on it. My reasoning was that since I live outside of the US (although am I proper citizen) I did not want to take the chance of my mail-in vote being tampered with. I also wanted to give the current administration a chance to show what they would do in the first term. I am now thinking that - for a FEW reasons - that INSTEAD of going through a proper (mail in) vote for the 2020 Presidectial election I will simply write an elaborate post on WHO I intended to vote for and why. I was hoping that they would have begun implementing blockchain voting by now, but that does not yet seem to be properly happening. My reasoning would be that an "unofficial " blockchain-recorded vote of the candidate I would like to vote for, and why, would "keep my hands clean" if the next administration (be the right or left) does something stupid. Also, I think it would be nice to place a more "insightful" vote (as opposed to just pulling a level), in the sense that I can EXPLAIN why I support a specific candidate, and the blockchain-base post would act as evidence of my reasoning at the time of the election. Another possibility is to BOTH make the blockchain post, AND do the mail-in vote, which would serve the dual purpose of allowing me to explain my reasoning behind the vote, AND act as proof of who I actually voted for, which I could submit to any of the proper election organizations if there are claims of election tampering (which I have a good feeling there WILL be - especially in this upcoming election, which is going to get nasty). Anyways, those are my thought for now. Any thoughts on my idea of placing an "unofficial" vote on the blockchain, or an "unofficial" vote ALONG WITH the proper mail-in vote? This will actually be the FIRST time I will have voted if I actually do the mail-in, because I think that for this one it will be important to exercise my voting right...
