Corona Panopticon
"I hope though, I wish with all of my heart that it'll be over soon, and that we'll be able to all go see Dune this year." Those were my closing words in yesterday's post, expressing my burning desire for the corona pandemic to end, to return to some form of normalcy in our daily lifes. That's wishful thinking though; there's no returning to normal after this.

When I say I wish to see this period of mass quarantine come to an end, I'm sure most will agree with that sentiment. This is only natural, but also frightening. Like any other crisis situation, we know this one will be used by the global oligarchy to increase their wealth and their power. Playing on people's hopes and fears they always manage to push through policies and laws they would never be able to in "normal" situations; this is what got us the Patriot Act in America and far reaching invasions of privacy perpetrated by governments all over the world after the 9/11 attacks. For years afterwards all western governments reignited the fear for terrorist attacks by using coordinated "threat levels" using the color codes "green", "yellow" or "orange" and "red". Before all that we had the "Red Scare" as an excuse for western governments to invade people's privacy in the name of tracking and capturing evil communists. And now we have COVID-19...
Our wish to be able to leave our house again, to be able to go to work again and yes, to be able to see Dune in December, will be used against us, and the scary thing is that I know it will work, again. Already in my country and in America, as in all developed countries all over the world, the propaganda campaign around "contact tracing" in in full flow. You see, your government will grant you your wish to live a normal life again, but only with strong safeguards for your health of course. To be able to move freely again we must be able to track anyone who's tested positive for COVID-19, know where they've been and who they've been in contact with. And if we're scared enough, and if we're sick and tired of being imprisoned in our own homes, we'll gladly accept this benevolent suggestion of our slave-masters. "Never let a good crisis go to waste" indeed.
When you've got all the money in the world and wouldn't be able to spend it even if you had a thousand lifetimes, what else is there to wish for? Power. The power to manipulate people into behaviorism that are in alignment with your lofty position at the top of the global power structure. If you're that rich, chances are you exhibit strong sociopath traits anyway, complete with the narcissism and megalomania that comes along with that. These sociopaths have no concern for your health or your (economical) safety; they're concerned with knowing everything there is to know about you because they understand that this information is key to them holding on to their power and wealth. They've constructed the perfect economy to create the material conditions they need; in capitalism they, the rich and powerful, are the ones who own the technologies that enable the creation of a global panopticon:
On 10 April 2020, Apple and Google, which, combined, account for most of the world's smartphones, announced coronavirus tracking technology for iOS and Android. Relying on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless radio signals for contact tracing, the new tools would warn people about others they'd been in contact with who are infected by SARS-CoV-2.
As of April 10, corresponding coronavirus apps were expected to be released in May and enhanced later in 2020.

Given the choice between not being able to watch Dune in December and giving in to this new scheme of implementing Big Brother globally, I'll choose to wait for Dune. And like James Corbett in the below linked video, I refuse to call it "contact tracing". But I think he also understands that it will happen anyway; the masses will accept anything their government hands them if it will free them from their mandatory quarantine. So please, dear reader, don't fall for the propaganda and inform your brothers and sisters about this evil campaign.
