My first participation on the shopping game.
Today i went to our local market here in Rumuokwachi Portharcourt Nigeria,to get some food items for the preparation of a meal but a few items would not be used up at once.
A rubber of local rice which costs 1800Naira
A rubber of Beans which costs 1000Naira
And the ingridents for preparing the meal
And the prices are SACHET SALT 50Naira, SACHET GROUNDNUT OIL 50Naira, SACHET TOMATOES 250Naira, MAGGI CUBES 50Naira, PEPPER 50Naira, CURRY 50Naira, ONIONS 50Naira, EGGS 100Naira, and PERIWINKLE 200Naira. All ingredients are equal to 830Naira.
The general prices are ;
1)RICE
IN NAIRA=1800
IN DOLLAR= 4.55
IN STEEM=21.66
2)BEANS
IN NAIRA=1000
IN DOLLAR=2.53
IN STEEM=12.04
3)INGREDIENTS ALL SUMMED UP
IN NAIRA=830
IN DOLLAR=2.10
IN STEEM=10
TOTAL IN NAIRA=3630
TOTAL IN DOLLAR=9.18
TOTAL IN STEEM=43.7

Is it that black snails?? 😃😃
No its periwinkle in its shell
woow..are those black shells also part of the ingredients you needed for your meal? They really caught my attention. Could you please elaborate more for me about them. I have never seen them in my Country.

Thats periwinkle in its shell we add to preparing stews and soup to add up to the meat and fish you use cooking i dont have a picture right now but i will get one for u here it either cooked with the shell or removed from the shell. If you remove from the shell its eaten directly like that but if you add the one in the shell to your food you suck out the food from the shell. They are gotten from the edge of swamps you need to do lots of washing before cooking if youre adding the shells
