Pasión por el videojuego
Cada noche veo a uno de mis hijos pegado a la laptop, enfrascado casi hasta amanecer en un video juego, lo escucho vociferar enojado cuando ve a otros valerse de trucos para ganar los juegos.
Mi esposa lo regaña constantemente para que él tome consciencia del daño de invertir la rutina de sueño, él parece vampiro. En tal sentido, me sumo a la campaña liderada por mi esposa para concienciar a mi hijo. En consecuencia, he dialogado con él, no obstante, yo lo comprendo muy bien cuando recuerdo que hace casi tres décadas yo era adicto a Falcon AT, un simulador de vuelo basado en el avión de combate de USA F-16, nada que ver con los simuladores realísticos actuales, pero les aseguro, no por ello menos divertidos.
En el principio de los años 90 tenía un computador con procesador inter 80286 con 640 KB de RAM, monitor de EGA de 16 colores, dos floppies (5 1/4 y 3 1/2) y un poderoso disco duro de 40 MB. La cual reemplazó a mi ordenador, un Packard Bell XT (Inter 8088) con monitor monocromático color ámbar y dos unidades de floppies. Nada comparable con la ahora obsoleta MacBookAir I5 con 4GB de RAM y SSD 256 GB del 2011 que uso actualmente. Con todo y esto, en aquel entonces, con gráficos rudimentarios si los comparamos con los actuales, me asombró pasar de la consola de comandos del MS-DOS al modo de imágenes en brillantes colores.
Veo a mi hijo disparando a diestra y siniestra, a él le gusta los juegos en línea, en especial uno llamado Operación7 (algo añejo); en mi época jugué Doom en la modalidad Stand-alone, la única manera de jugar en PC antes de la irrupción masiva de la internet, no obstante, mi juego predilecto para trasnocharme era el simulador de combate aéreo, la razón, imaginar que piloteas el magnífico F-16, ahora tan bien obsoleto.
Tengo problemas para hallar las imágenes para este post, los juegos están por allí en algún rincón del departamento o en casa de mis padres, en de delicados discos flexibles de 5 1/4 que ya no se pueden leer; así que necesariamente tendré que solicitar ayuda a la red, quizás en pixabay o unsplash tengas algunas alusivas que no violen los derechos de autor.

Afortunadamente, hace tiempo que no soy adicto a los videos juegos como antaño, pero hay un relevo generacional en la familia que ha recogido el testigo cual carrera de cuatrocientos metros.
