I found this statue of God Kartikeya in Rameshwaram from Tamilnadu state in India. The statue is placed outside the Rameshwaram temple, by the bank of Bay of Bengal.

Kartikeya is ever-youth Hindu God and is popularly known as the warrior God. He is child of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. He is the chief of the army of heaven and moves riding on peacock. In Hindu mythology, the Gods rides on animals and birds to so that the people have respect for animal and birds and refrain from killing of animals and birds so that God don't get angry over them. This leads to respect and helps coexistence between human and non-humans.
