College World Series Finals: Mississippi State vs. Vanderbilt
Tanner Leggett’s timely base knock scored Brayland Skinner as No. 7 Mississippi State defeated No. 2 Texas 4-3 on a walk-off Saturday. The Bulldogs will face the Vanderbilt Commodores in the College World Series finals in a best of three faceoff after the “if necessary” game that the Anchor Down crew forced on Friday afternoon was declared to be a “no contest” by the NCAA and the North Carolina St. Wolfpack was removed from the tournament due to COVID-19 contact tracing protocols.
