Early goal mean nothing, it's just to cheer fans up, to make them feel good, although some early goals may be the only goal that would come in the match but not all. Many goals in first half is what matters because the opponents may change tactic in second half, equalise the goal you've scored if not much and at times later win the match from back. Clubs like Athletico Madrid are the ones that are good in defending just a goal to secure 3 points or the wining they need. Chelsea used to be that before now, before the time of Thomas Tuchel, most especially the first time they won Champions league.

But clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester City don't defend, they just want to play football on the ground and entertain the fans, their style is tikitaka and you'll never see them play another style even if they are so much loosing, it's because that is what they know how to play best and if a coach is hired and tried to change their play way, that coach won't last, although he'll be warned but if he didn't change, hell be sacked. Good example is Ronald Koeman, his play way isn't even Barcelona's play way, Barcelona committed so much red card in his time which is unlike them and at the end of the day, he was sacked.

I don't really know Arsenal's play way before Arsene Wenger is hired, but I think he brought the Tikitaka style to Arsenal, and ever since he was sacked, all the coaches that was hired after him play that same Tkitaka style but they can't just be like him, the only coach that seems be like him is Mikel Arteta, and ever since Wenger was sacked, Arteta is the only coach that is still trying his possible best despite how much he didn't have good materials but early goals don't used to favour him, the same Everton that's one of the club that may relegate beat him in the first leg and he was leading in the first half of the match.

Early goal is just a record for a player and add to number of goals the club have, it doesn't always secure three points or winning for the club that scored early, only if they score enough goal that all may not be equal backed in the second half of the match.
