It Keeps Getting Harder.
It keeps getting harder for Tottenham as they keep slipping further away from the top 4. Who would have thought they would be in this position after being at the top of the league at some point? This is a clear testament that a lot can happen so quickly in football as exemplified by United and City who were further down below the table and now, City is top while United is 2nd.
Everton hosted Tottenham and both haven't quite gotten the results they would have loved lately and another thrilling draw came on the cards for both teams as they could only muster a point each from their encounter.
Tottenham started well as they got a goal in the 27th minute through their talisman who has been tipped for a move to either Real Madrid or Manchester United; Harry Kane. Harry Kane was gifted too much space in the box after Keane's flick found him. He expertly brought the ball under control and unleashed his shot into the bottom corner of the net to register the first goal of the day.
Not long after, Everton got a lifeline of their own when James was brought down in the box by Reguilon after he clatters into him. The referee wasted no time and pointed to the spot. Sigurdsson stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way in the 31st minute to draw the game level, 1-1.
James could have given his side the lead shortly after when he was played through in the box and his shot was saved by Hugo Lloris. Tottenham had a chance of their own too when Son's corner kick was directed towards Toby, who met it with a lovely header but he could only strike the frame of the post, much to the relief of Everton there and the goalkeeper did well to have a block too.
Substitute, Seamus Coleman raced through on the side of the pitch after exchanging a pass with Richarlison just a minute after coming on and delivered an enticing ball into the path of Sigurdsson who brilliantly controlled the ball on the volley with ease into the back of the net in the 62nd minute. Everton took the lead for the first time in the game, 2-1, with Sigurdsson getting his second goal on the day.
Another mistake from Keane led to Harry Kane getting his second goal of the game. The ball fell graciously to him and he hit a half volley into the back of the net to make it 2-2.
Harry Kane should have gotten his hattrick when a Lucas Moura's cross found him and his flicked header clipped the edge of the post rather than go inside the net. It was a lovely performance from Harry Kane but unfortunately, they have to settle for a point. A dreadful performance from Keane as well and a great one from Sigurdsson too. Two goals each from Kane and Sigurdsson with a double of mistake from Keane as well.
Thank you for your time.

It was never going to be easy for them, given they lost the reverts tie and their two goals were fortuitous.
This is the straw that broke Jose's camel's back, but I feel they should have allowed him end the season in the least.
Exactly. I felt they should have allowed him play the final and see if he could have at least gotten a trophy for them.
True and, even though I hate to admit (North London rivalry 😁), he really stood a chance.
Hahahaha. True.
Everton should have win.
But Kane is world class and you can't give him chances like that.
He would always punish any team who gives him such chances. He is good.
Kane played excellent , and the guy is a goal machine!
Those two goals were classy.
Kane was very brilliant! But unfortunately they are didn't win.
Sadly, he couldn't get his hat trick.
If Kane leaves they will be relegated next season.Outclassed again.
Hahahaha. They can't be that bad.
Some of the worst defending this season. By both team!!
Actually true and Everton was more annoying.
If Kane is injured Spurs will produce 0 points while he's out & Arsenal will pass them easily.
Spurs always struggle without him and Son.
