It is not a matter of if but a matter of when. We all knew this day would come as I cannot see City losing the title even if United Won all their matches. Leicester City moved a step ahead to go back into 3rd place in a bid to cement their place for European football. Defeating United at Old Trafford did that and also handed Manchester City the title with three games to spare. City can rest enough players now and then give opportunities to fringe players for the remainder of the campaign.

United rested practically all their players except for Greenwood for this tie. It was obvious they lacked cohesion, accuracy and tempo as they misplaced too many passes, gave away cheap fouls and lacked that togetherness as you would expect for those who haven't had much game time.

Leicester City showed they needed the victory as they took the game to United and they rightly displaced Chelsea on the log.

Leicester City spectacularly took the lead as Tielemans ran down the side of the pitch to deliver a lovely cross for Thomas. The 19-year-old carefully placed his effort to the top right-hand corner, beating David De Gea and registered his first goal in the Premier League. It took Leicester City only 10 minutes.

In the 15th minute, Mason Greenwood produced his moment of magic when Amad passed the ball to him. He danced his way through into the box before getting the ball past the goalkeeper to level the tie, 1-1. The first attack by United on a rainy day in Manchester led to the goal. He made it 6 goals in 6 games. It's definitely a day for the youths with those two lovely goals.

Iheanacho should have given Leicester the lead when he was played through. He tried to get the ball past De Gea at the side of the post but De Gea blocked it. It was eventually cleared to safety.

Leicester City got their noses back in front in the 66th minute when Albrighton's cross from a corner kick was expertly headed into the back of the net by Soyuncu to give Leicester City the win and hand the title to City. He rose higher than Matic to power home the header.

Leicester City should have added another goal when Iheanacho found Vardy at the near post. He headed the ball back across the face of the goal but Tielemans was unable to connect with the ball with the net staring at him in the face.

This is the first win for Leicester City in the top flight against Manchester United at Old Trafford since 1998. You can see what the win means to them after the whistle went. It is a remarkable achievement for them and getting into the European place is back on track.

Congratulations to Manchester City as Leicester City just handed them the title but as I said, it is only a matter of when rather than if.

Thank you for your time.

Congratulations to Manchester City. It was a great turnaround since the turn of the year for them. From thinking if they'd make Europe, almost midway into the season, to clinching the title with three games to spare. Remarkable.

Now, can they make the treble? Big ask, but doable.

This season has been unpredictable as with other seasons. City rose from the ashes to take the crown.

Pep Guardiola has been remarkable at Man City. Sports fans under rated his guidance at Barca, claiming the Barca players were already top class and primed to win the cups he won with them. Now he is doing the most at Man City. If Man City win the Champions league too...that will be crazy.
