After New Zealand were very lucky to draw the 1st test, today was day 1 of the 2nd test and India choosing to bat first.

Mayank Agarwal, who is constantly in and out of the team, scored 120 and is not out at the end of the first day. He will be hoping that this great performance will increase his chances of selection in future matches.

The game started late due to rain and after this, we won the toss and choose to bat first . Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill gave a good start but as soon as Shubman got out on 80, we had problems by losing 3 wickets one after the other. Cheteshwar Pujara and captain Virat Kohli both out for ducks (0 runs).

We end the day on 221/4 which is good score but maybe should have been more. Day 2 will be another good one and I hope Mayank Agarwal can continue his good batting to give us a big lead.
