QUEST FOR A MAIDEN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHY: PSG vs MAN CITY

A final berth is at stake as two giants lock horns in the first leg of their semi final as Paris Saint-Germain hosts Manchester City at the Parc des Princes.

PSG impressively dumped defending champions Bayern Munich on away goals to secure their spot in the last four while Man City and Guardiola ended their quarterfinal ‘curse’ since 2015/2016 as they edged Borussia Dortmund to book a place in the last four.

Both teams are in pursuit of their first ever Champions League trophy after years of success in their respective leagues and having invested to stock their arsenals with world class players with the aim of winning European clubs most prized asset.

In the Ligue 1, PSG trails Lille by a point after 34 games. They have struggled in the league but excelling in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Man City have just won the Carabao cup and have a hand on the Premier League trophy as they have opened a 10 points gap on the top of the log.

Pochettino edged Guardiola the last time both managers met in the Champions League as he guided Tottenham past Man City in the quarterfinals before Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp ended their fairytale in the finals of the competition.

Both teams boasts of quality players and it is difficult to predict who goes through to the final but, whoever goes through will battle either Real Madrid or Chelsea and has a chance to lift their maiden Champions League trophy.
