New Zealand -Bangladesh 1st Test: The hardships should not fail
The pair of 158 runs by Liton and Mominul gave us the lead. There are two days left in the match. This draw is crucial for us, based on the state of our Test cricket.
I'm not talking about winning because we'll need to play a lot of good cricket and New Zealand will have to fold in the second innings. They'll want to host the match on own turf.
In the testing, Liton has a great rhythm. He hit his 11th half-century of the season. The half-centuries, on the other hand, could have been transformed into more centuries if he had played more cautiously.
Today, Harsha Bhogle tweeted about Liton: "It's a pleasure to see the reflection of Liton's promise. Bangladesh has given him many opportunities, and this time Liton should repay them in this way.
Mominul was under pressure after scoring 14 runs in 4 innings with Pakistan. This 88-run inning will give him the confidence he needs. Through this, Mominul has completed 4,000 runs in all three formats.
Both of them, however, stood an excellent chance of scoring a century. The only regret is that they could not able to score a century. For at least a century, I would have been happy.
