Which did you do when you gained admission on campus, did you reside in the school hostel or not?
The first day I gained admission into the university, I stayed in the school hostel, and the reason why I stayed their was the fact that I was new and I don't know my way around the town so my parents asked me to stay in the hostel. Before the portal was open for us to apply for hostel accommodation, I was staying with one of my friend inside the town, I stayed at their house for two weeks before moving in to the hostel. Staying at my friend's house was not that easy for me because, their house was far away from the school, and that has made me to spend much on Transport fee.

What is the reason behind your choices ( why and why not did you pick the school hostel)
The reason why i stayed in the school hostel was because i was new, and I don't know my way round the town. Even though i hard a friend but as i said earlier her house was too far from the school so staying in the hostel was the best option for me. After my year one, at the university I wanted moving out of the hostel but when I hard my course mate where complaining about light and water issue outside the Campus aahh I decided to stay back at the hostel till I graduated from the University. In the hostel there are availability of light and water we don't lack anything, and the place was so secured.
Another reason why i decided to stay in the hostel was to study my book, sometimes if i see my roommate going out to read, that alone do motivates me to also go out and read.
What are your experiences in the school hostel and in wherever you decided to stay (positive and otherwise)

I hard many experiences while i was staying at the school hostel, both positive and negative. Positively, i was able to meet with many friends who helped me in one way or the other,and also i learned how to be disciplined because in the hostel there are so many rules which one need to abide by them most especially time management.

Some of the things that i did not enjoy in the hostel was the aspect of going down to the general kitchen to cook, seriously that was so stressful for me to the extent i don't cook often. The school never allowed us to cook inside our rooms instead the build the kitchen outside the hostels so going to the kitchen often was so stressful for me.
Another thing was the issue of stealing, the first time i stepped my foot into the hostel i lost some of my items that was because i left the room open and went to the restroom and before i came back my locker was empty.
Did you enjoy your stay there and why
Yes, I really enjoyed my stay at the school hostel because I made a lot of friends from different part of the state and also i was able to learn new things from them, especially their food and also their way of life.
What do you think needs improvement
Seriously the hostel need improvement in various ways among which are:
- The school should change the time in which they do lock the hostel at night because, sometimes someone will be in the class reading and once it's 9:50pm you will be thinking of going back to the hostel if not you will sleep inside the class once it's 10:00pm. So I think the school should at least change the time to 12:00pm so that the students will take their time and study well.
- The school should allow the students to cook in the various rooms, or better still they should build another hostel that each block will have their own kitchen and bathroom. Because sometimes, one need to queue up in the bathroom before taking bath in the morning.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of living on-campus
The advantage of staying in the on campus is that the hostel are very much secured for everyone unlike the off campus because, once you are staying outside the school, you are on your own but if you are inside the campus then the school will make sure that you are secured. Another advantage is the availability of water and electricity.
Disadvantage
The disadvantage of staying in the hostel is that, there is no privacy and also there are a lot of restrictions and rules.
In conclusion, staying in the school hostel is very interesting and nice, you meet different people with different characters and we get to learn a lot from others. To me hostels is just the best Even though it has some disadvantage but at least it is very secured than the off-campus.
