The role student can play in combating global warming.
Hi student from all around the world, I this article I will be explaining how we can help reduce global warming and its effect on our world, and hopefully after reading this we will have a better understanding on the role we need to play to help the coming generation.
Our planet is in danger of continuous warming, temperature keep rising and almost all aspect of life is been affected due to the temperature raise. Some of effect of global warming are.
-Hotter temperature: Our temperature is raising at an alarming rate and this give rise to heat wave which can be very deadly to our health.
-Increase drought: Water is now very scarcer in more regions. Our fertile lands are becoming desert-like and this give raise to destructive sand and dust which could prove very dangerous in many cases.
Loss of species: Animal who can only survive in the arctic region such as polar bear are in danger of extension because of the high rate at which ice are melting.
-Irregular season: This mostly affect farmer because the raining season is no more consistence it keep shifting every year and this is reducing our food production.
-More severe storms: Climate change affect rainfall and this cause more severe storms which lead to flooding and landslides and this usually destroy a lot of homes costing billions dollar in many situation.
They is what is called greenhouse effect where gas emission mostly Co2 raise and form a blanket on earth atmosphere and sun heat are been trap in our atmosphere. This gas is as a result of burning fossil fuels such as natural gas and coal.
The process where this gas are been release in large quantity are during power generation, manufacturing of goods, and when using transportation. Obviously we mostly rely on burning fossil fuels to generate power but this act is affecting us in so many ways so shouldn’t we look for alternative.
They are many research going on how we can reduce our dependent on burning fossil fuels and fully utilize renewable energy but this will take many years but in the main time they are little things you and I can do to reduce this effect and I will explain how we can act to fight this problem.
-Educate ourselves: As student we are believe to be the smartest person around and any issue we bring up we be taken seriously. We can use this to fight global warming but we need to know what it is and what can we do to fight it. Improper trash disposal is a major problem is most communities and this trash mostly content plastic which take years to decompose and are mostly dump in oceans and seas. We need to study our environment and come up with solution to help our people.
-Act as role model: After we have study our community and know how it contributing to global warming, we should act to stop or reduce this and what better way than to be seen doing things properly. When others see us dispose our trash properly, they will also want to do so and this create awareness and things will get better.
-Be an advocate of this movement: Don’t just stop in your community move out and education other communities on why things need to change and fast. Encourage people on why they need to start making use of solar power and other renewable energy.
Another planet with earth feature have not been discover and even if they is, it will take thousands of years to colonize that planet so earth is our only option let do everything we can to protect it and it start with you.
