Hello everyone happy new year how are your new year resolution going, I hope you've all been managing to keep to them.
we have all enjoyed the festivities of Christmas and New Year but now schools are resuming we all have to go back to school, often student struggle after the long holidays they lack the zeal for academic activities and spend away their time until it's too late.
Knowing that this constitutes a big problem most especially for university students I will be sharing some of the attributes students can acquire which would help them better cope with academic stress and gain the zeal for academic work

Attributes students can acquire

Without wasting much time I'll be going into details on attributes in which as a student we could adapt after the holiday. In order to get our academic zeal back.
Like we all know getting back into the academic goal can be difficult as it entails a lot of procrastination unseriousness, low attention span etc

planning

In everything we do in life planning is essential if we fail to plan then we plan to fail. For every student to exceed in his academic life he needs to have a plan of action in which he abides by.
having a plan students can build upon that in such a way that irrespective of how long or how pleasurable the holiday was whenever he or she looks back he sees the importance of school because he has planned for his future and he knows that a deviation from his plan would be a sabotage to the Future he hopes to accomplish. a plan is a must-have for every student both college and university.
We find out that most of us in federal universities due to the amount of freedom that is given to us we often lose vibe for academic activities after the holiday, students begin to see academics as a futile process but with a plan we are made to understand that life is in stages and to get the life we desire such as an actor, a dancer, a pastor e.t.c we must have an academic background to enable us understand and better socialize in our environment.
From this we can see the planning would go a long way in preparing individuals for the journey which is the future.

Awareness

Awareness this can be seen as the conscious realisation that our future is in the hands of our presence and that actions have consequences which will be felt in the future hence by being aware of what needs to be done students tend to be more focused, more docile to learning, with awareness comes the responsibility and the readiness of any student to accept what is being taught by teachers or counterpart.
When we become aware of certain facts we tend to take our studies a little bit more serious and coming from the holiday we understand that the holiday is mainly just a break and the school is where the work is done.
Being aware not only increases students productivity but also increases the overall happiness concerning academic activities. There is a saying that goes you can take your horse to the river but you can't force it to drink water hence a student without awareness is like such a horse and only by being aware can students readily and willingly brace the academic journey in which they are going to school for.

Commitment

Commitment this is the dedication in which one pays towards a given task which is given to him. commitment usually occurs when a student is in love with what he's been taught, a student who loves architecture will be most likely committed to resuming school after the holidays because such course give him joy. Commitment should be a must have in the arsenal of any serious student as without commitment a student is not going to be able to finish task he's going to leave task half-baked and unfinished hence for every student commitment is a must, going on a holiday you must be committed to your studies such that after the holiday they will be a willingly spirit and enthusiastic student coming from which he is going to go back and do his academic studies.

Punutality

Punctuality this is the attention to time for every successful individual you would find out one of their core personality traits is punctuality. By being punctual students resume early, submit assignments early, go home early etc
The attributes of punctuality in any student is what ensures that some students resumes when school resumes, we find out that often than none most times after the December holiday we find students resuming February March why are school resumed January this is because such students lack punctuality they no longer see the essence of school and are easily distracted which is not good but by my embodying punctuality in students we are able to re-kindle the academic spirit within such a child hence punctuality could be said to be one of the key building blocks of any serious student.

Conclusion

To add to all I've said students are expected to have the above characteristics and if not they should work towards obtaining them as they would serve as essential building blocks and foundation to the betterment of such students academic life.
With commitment student learns to finish job and activities as at when due
With punctuality student start the task earlywithout procrastination
With awareness student are aware of task and work towards accomplishing it
With planning we are better prepared for any circumstance.
