RE: Campus Connect Engagement League week 1- Effects of Asuu strike on students in Nigeria
I figured the union are trying to get their money back from the current government before they leave their office for the next ones. If this isn't done, the new administration would refuse to pay for costs that they didn't incur. Nonetheless I believe the money the union is demanding is wayy above what the government are willing to do and because of this, the issue would be kept pending hence the strike would keep getting longer.
Students keep getting more and more indifferent about schooling and education as some who are to stay 4 years in the university end up staying 6 years and more. Some have dropped out to look for greener pastures. Since the students aren't busy, they fall victims to politicians who use them as thugs to disrupt the peace in the country. Many students who don't have anything better to do at home end up stealing and committing all sorts of acts to fill their pockets. These are just one of the few effects of the strike on Nigerian students.
I hope the union and the government come to equal terms and settle this as soon as possible. They are delaying the leaders of tomorrow.
But we are talking about a government that out of the goodness of their heart gave 1million dollars to Afghanistan haba nah

What an arrant madness in the highest order, that is. May God almighty put sense in the brain of these our national leaders and their cabals.
Bro that's just crazy, when i heard that I was like WTF. Why give Afghanistan 1miilion dollars when students are still at home because of unpaid salaries for lectures, it's just pure stupidity.
They seem to not care about education and we are all suffering because of it.
#campusconnectengagement
Election that's where the focus is but if anybody tells me that really really the taliban government actually received that money, I have an airport to sell. Our education system is in shambles and later they will say our competition is outside. How can we compete when we have a very poor academic system

The government have money. If they want to release it, they will.

No one will want to pay for a debt they know nothing about especially when they only have their selfish interest in heart.
