Reaching out to college students can be extremely profitable. Because college students are typically a large number and a group which helps to spread messages through word-of-mouth. No better place to hype or promote Steemit than in the campus. Little wonder I'm a great fan of @campusconnectng.

It may not be a daunting task to meet these students. The difficult part is getting them to pay attention and be interested in what you have to offer.

I will highlight ways that can help in targeting college students so as to capture their attention and compel them to care about what Steemit have to offer.

With so much going on in the college campus, it can be difficult to introduce something new, because every now and then college students are invited to seminars, symposiums and workshops etc. On different goods and services.

Offering complimentary beverages and food as a way to lure them is no longer enough. Stunts are the way to go if you're going to try to target college students with a couple of huge pushes.

The following are practical ways to pull off the aforementioned stunts

MAKE A BRIEF VIDEO ON WHAT STEEMIT IS ABOUT

Because college students are bombarded with marketing messages on their favorite platforms every day, using social media can be difficult. Again high cost of cable television,ensures students socialize on media's like YouTube, Watsap, Facebook and Netflix for amusement. As a steemit ambassador I will capitalize on this interest by producing short-form videos about steemit that can entice students.
Such short videos are an effective way to communicate, educate and inform college students on the essence of Steemit.

VISIT DIFFERENT CLASSES ON PURPOSE

This entrepreneurial approach is always effective. Approaching different course representatives and offering to speak on business to college students or participating in special events. Most students I know are looking for an extra means to make money to take care of raising bills at school and at home, no doubt lots of them will be delighted to hear about stemmit.

MAKE CONTACT WITH INFLUENTIAL STUDENTS

On college campuses, word of mouth is extremely important. I will try infiltrate a small number of students who are prominent amongst the students and with other organizations on campus. I will consider approaching student clubs or sororities with complimentary products in exchange for promotional opportunities on the steemit platform. With this unique approach Steemit will spread like wide fire amongst the college students. And they will embrace it 360 like a teddy 🐻.

SELECT STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Part-time jobs are in high demand among college students. Engaging a handful of student ambassadors to spare head a local event and hangouts through collaboration, STEEMIT branded T-shirts, flyers, and other incentives cum gifts can be a great advert.

SUBMIT INTENTIONAL ADVERTS TO THE CAMPUS NEWSPAPER

Despite the fact that social media has become the primary method of passing essential information, many college students still read the campus newspaper. According to one study, 72-80% of college students read their college papers. I will place ads in campus newspapers, which will afford me a better opportunity of reaching such target audience and introduce them to the Steemit community.

Summarily, college students are a valuable market to explore, but reaching out to them in the most effective ways is critical.

Steemit provides a shift from the usual mining idealogy of every other crypto currency, in that it provides a relevant platform to interact with people of different cultural values all around the world. Share ideas and explore the unknown, while trying new endeavors.

Getting college students to stay relevant on the steemit platform is a doable uphill task. If they are helped to see steemit as an open market place for making quick money just by curating contents and being consistent. Such notch will spur them to stay loyal.
