THE CAMPUS STATUS QUO, by solmusix (50% campusconnect)

Good day my highly esteemed steemians, complements of the season, wishing us all a prosperous new year. Today we'll be discussing on Status quo in relation to the campus settings.

Status quo from the mobile English Dictionary simply means the state of things; the way things are, as opposed to the way they could be.
As students in campus, we are often times meant to believe that entry into the higher institution isn't a thing of joke, we are made to understand that first entry into the schooling is a little less complex as compare upcoming sessions. Let's have a little pondering on this.

Have you ever thought why your Year 1 (First Semester) or whichever way it's termed our various institutions, sometimes are better off than the others?. Sometimes we are told if you can't get up a good grade from the start don't even think of graduating a better. Most times we are told, starting up well matters, because from the next session your grade might begin to diminish or rather drop it's value in terms of the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or whichever way it's been termed.
Overtimes we have lived comfortably by this assertions, we've fixed our minds so dearly on this words in the tune that we rather not kill ourselves as it is a natural phenomenon. Some others though may not even start off well, but can have a bet that their results are even better off than when they had started, and why is that...It's simply because they lived above their status quo.

This Campus Status quo has played in our heads overtime, and we're just so pleased with it, sometimes we try to maintain the good grades, not even settling for a better one in it's stead.
But alas, here is a wake up call, when were introduced to the institutions, it's kind of a different environment from what we had known. It's settings are free but complex as compared secondary (high) school days. As we begin to be around it's four walls, we gradually begin to adapt having gotten the basic foundations, as the complex courses comes in upcoming sessions, we don't find them complex as we are now used to it's terminologies and mode of application. Rather than being afraid of getting lower grades in this upcoming sessions, what we should think now is how to improve because we've now gotten ideas about our choice areas of study, our eyes as well opened to different sources of educational reference points to boost our knowledge.
Thus, let's set our mind and mode of thinking off maintaining our grade points, or say a little bit lower and placing it to such as aspiring and settling a better grade as we approach the next sessions. As the saying goes, "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going".
