Hello to everyone in this great community known as CampusConnect I welcome you all to another week in this great community. Today I will be sharing with everyone in this community how my Sunday went as though it was my friend's celebration day which we often call birthday, who is also a steemian and is well known to be @gidsbrown.
It was a beautiful Sunday morning. the birds were humming in the sky and it was a little bit clouding and so I stood up from my bed and headed straight to my kid sister's room. she was fixing her wig in preparation for church service and when I got it she quickly dragged me to sit on the couch and then she used my head to dress her wig, it turned out to suit me so well and she took some pictures of me putting on her wig, s funny!
After that, we got set for Sunday service and everyone in the church came with a high spirit and were all expectant of God's blessing. the pastor gave a great topic which was tagged do not give up on your vision and our text for that day was taken from the book of Roman 9 vs 16 which spoke about it is not of him that willet nor of him that runneth but it is of the lord that showeth mercy. so we were encouraged not to give up and look up to God for mercy because without his mercy, we will not be alive today. and the speaker further elaborates the point by telling us that we might be willing to succeed and then try everything within our powers for success but if God does not show us mercy we are going nowhere. and also we might be running to attain something possibly a position or a particular height but if God does not show us mercy our running will be in vain.
So we were all blessed by that sermon and we pray for God's mercy in all our endeavors. after the closing hour of the Sunday service, I and my friends came out to take a few pictures of ourselves and we were all happy to see each other once more. so after the pictures and chitchats with each other, we then departed to our various settlements.
Then I got dressed and headed to my friend's house known as @samuelebuka. we met on the way and we spoke about how we were blessed in church and also we talked about our topics which were all explained so well to our understanding by our pastors. and then we also took some shots before we then left his house and headed straight to the house of @gidsbrown.
We met him at home and we sang a happy birthday song for him. he was prayed for by his friends and family and everyone came with a present for him but as for his real friends, we decided to give him a surprise treat. we took him to the most expensive eatery in town which is well known by the name chicken republic. the environment was well arranged and well beautified. it was on a Salah Sunday and both Christians and Muslims came to that spot to relax and have fun with friends and family. the place was indeed conducive as everyone came happy and everybody was doing their things differently as joy filled the air.
So we celebrated and dined with our friends, everyone gave a well touching speech and after that, we sang once again for the celebrant, and then the weather became cloudy as though rain was seen in the sky, so we quickly said goodbye to ourselves and we departed to our residence.
that was how I spent my Sunday with friends. thank you all for reading. have a great day ahead.
