HELLO FRIENDS

Greetings my respected friends in this remarkable community. I hope we are all wonderfully well and having an extraordinary day served with nice tidings in all ramifications of life.

Saturday's are for what?

Another Saturday, Another marriage or should I say, "Saturdays are for marriages" as the sayings go. It was a Sunny Saturday morning and I was really happy to be a marriage guess, all hyped up and ready as I was a classmate to the bride back in Secondary School.

It was a celebration of love and togetherness and in the spirit of love and unity, we the set of 2014, The Unique14 as we are called (classmates of the bride) contributed to getting her gifts, of which we realised a good sum of cash at the end.

We came out in Joy to bear witness to this wonderful union of our classmate and friend, but unfortunately or fortunately, I was the only guy amongst the sea of women as the other guys couldn't make it.

Location

The venue of the marriage reception was in the brides home town Odi, while the wedding was in the city capital, Yenegoa, all in Bayelsa State. Nonetheless, we all converged at the Church for the wedding and then straight to the reception venue to share the moments with her.

My highlights of the occasion was the reception and traditional marriage rite activities as everywhere was glowing. The decorations were top notch, I felt like getting married there and then too.

Then there was this little dances that stole the show, and everyone was head over heels for them.

Especially the part her husband-to-be was to make her smile by spraying money on her so we could finally get to eat and drink.

I also can not forget the part where we the Unique14 (classmates of the Bride) presented the gifts we've bought to the new family. That Joy on her face said it all.

It was more of a reunion even for us as we haven't seen each other for quite a long while. As we left for our various destinations, we all did so with big smiles on our faces for we had fun and we loved every bit of it.
