Brief introduction about steemit

Steemit is block chain social media platform that rewards it members with steem or steem dollars for creating and curating original contents. You can earn money here while doing what you like doing best for example, there are communities for arts, photography, graphics, nature, campus life and as well as the crypto and forex communities.

These various communities has so many members here that create quality and enlightening contents in mostly their areas of specialty in order to earn money to meet their daily needs. Another perfect way to earn money on steemit platform is by participating in contests organised by admins which has price tags and are often rewarded with steem.

How I came about steemit

BeautyPlus_20211026183727_save.jpg

My name is rutthy, a final year student of University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

I came to know about steemit around my final year, thanks to my friend @amicablepeace who introduced me to this great platform which I have never regretted the decision.

Prior to joining the Steemit platform, I have never been a fan of anything networking or social media whatever that may involve money, so any time she wants to talk me into joining Steemit platform, I always pretend not to hear and turning deaf ears towards it until tragedy struck during middle of my first semester in Final year.

My Uncle who was my sponsor at the time, reduced my scholarship to 50% because of the issues he had in his business , which means that I'll have to start paying my house rent my self and also source for money for my final year project. Heavy blow!

This situation made me to think of extra source of cash and that was when i remembered my friend @amicablepeace who now helped me to join Steemit and since then, it has been from one success story to another.

HOW I'LL CONVINCE MY COURSE MATES TO JOIN STEEMIT

Timing can be a very important factor and can be used to your advantage while trying to convince somebody to do something. If you approach your targeted audience at an appropriate time, everything will go as planned.

I am final year student in Uniuyo and every Nigerian student in tertiary institution know what it means to do a research work. This period is a very sensitive, critical, daring and even a vulnerable period in many students life because some of them engage in so many vices in a bid to raise money for their research work.

So, this is where I market steemit. Judging form the situation at hand, I know they will be easily convinced to join steemit and make money, but not without a working strategy. Mind you that some of my course mates were already considering the option of dropping project till next session when they gather enough money for it, and of course, this was not the best option at all.

Below are some of my working strategies ill employ to make it work.

These are some of the questions that my course mates may likely ask during the lecture, and of course I will do justice to them all during the tutorial session.

1.what is stemit all about?
2. What do I stand to gain from it?
3. Can you prove steemit is worth it?
4. Will it really help me offset my bills?
5. Do I really need to join steemit now?

MY WORKING STRATEGIES

First of all, I'll go with this caption;

Your bills are not smiling, join Steemit today

I will convince them showing them my account balance and how much I and my friends have made since we joined Steemit.

This strategy involves showing them the communities I belong to within the short period on Steemit, how I write and the things I do to create quality contests on Steemit and also showing them my wallets and that of my friend. I'll also show them the credit alerts I normally get when I withdraw and also the number of times I receive such credit alerts and cash out in a week. By the time i am through, we do a rough sketch about the calculations and the amount of money I have made here so far, by then, they will be easily convinced to join this platform without hesitation.

Although, I'll also tell them that Steemit is not a get rich quick platform too.

I will organise a tutorial class for them and also make hand fliers listing all the benefits you stand to enjoy when you join steemit.

It's true that Steemit is not a get rich quick scheme, but when you do what you are supposed to do here, you can even earn more than people that have been here before you. I'll tell them that for example the writers, when you create an article which is 100% free of plagiarism, they won't hesitate to reward you.

Then for those that love cooking, there is also a community where people cook and educate people on how to cook, you can still take advantage of it and make some money. Then for those of them that love blogging, they can be writing and get paid instead of writing on other social media platforms for free.

I'll show them my financial plans and targets financially for the year.

Its not enough to sell a dream to a person, you will also have to validate to them that there is an opportunity to make money through strategic planning. I'll tell them that steemit is here to help then and I'll also show them my Long and short term financial plan for the year which is realizable through the Steemit platform and how I planned to go about it. I'll show them where I am going and how I am getting there. I'll tell them my story about how I started and where I am now for them to be certain that there is potential here on steemit.

Encourage team membership and be a team player and set target

For my course mates, I may not be able to offer them a high paying job in the oil and gas company, but I'll assure them of my presence anytime they need me in any difficult situation as pertains to Steemit. I'll encourage team membership among them, where we can work as a team and help each other to grow. The team will also serve as a motivator to other members who may want to slack along the line.

In this team membership, we can share ideas on how to grow our accounts, increase our steem power which is our voting power and also inform each other about contests going on in the community. We can also create a group where each and everyone of us can bring his or her own contributions as to how to move the team forward. By so doing, they will be convinced that there is more in steemit for them.

I'll also encourage my friends who have been here before me to talk to them:

My friend @amicablepeace was the one who introduced me to the steemit platform. Its true that some of my course mates may not fall for the same enthusiasm, but they may however want to hear from another convincing source who are already members. Once I have another source to also convince them, they are already sold and they can also peach the good news to other new converts.

Specialise on your area of Interest:

I'll also convince them that on this platform, you must not be a writer to join it and make money. You can still make money here doing what you know how to do and enjoy doing best. For example art ,poetry, photography, writing, creating funny graphic, and other stuffs. I'll also tell them that they can also meet people of like minds here which will help in enhancing their knowledge base to broaden their horizon on several issues.

I will use the future talk:

In this strategy, I'll make use of tenses like"together we will", because it will show my level of confidence and also convince them that this is not a ponzi scheme that will ask them to bring money and later dump them half way without recovering their money back. It will also point to them the possibilities we will achieve together.

Ill use the psychology of Scarcity:

We are all humans and our needs are numerous and unending. When you make something or yourself scarce, people will tend to look for it more. People normally crave for what they can't have, so by making it clear to them that this offer I am extending to them will not be there for ever, and they may be missing out when the offer ends, they will rush to join steemit now while they still can.

I'll convince them to join steemit by leaving no room for choices.

This means that I'll not ask them for their decision on the matter because Human beings generally don't like to make decisions for themselves and sometimes, even the tiniest of choices can be very stressful for them to make. So since I am trying to convince them and I know what is best for them, I'll not give them surplus options. I'll just directly ask them for their phones in order to proceed with the registration process proper and by so doing, I have made it possible and easy for them to say yes to Steemit

Thank you everyone for reading my post.
