I say a splendid afternoon to everyone that is present in this community and hope we had a nice weekend with friends and family. Today is a great day and also I am delighted to be part of the users that will be participating in this contest that is being scheduled in this community. I will be talking about the school life I prefer and I will not forget to thank @goodybest for an opportunity like this to talk about old days. so below is my article for this contest which I will be giving the necessary answers to the below questions.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL AND YOUR COLLEGE LIFE

First of all, I will be starting with my high school life. Life during my high school days was very superb, in fact lots of memories are embedded inside of me concerning my college life. It was a time when I have everything I wanted in a plater of gold. during those day my had no problems at all other than waking up from bed, doing my house chores and then head to school and return. that was the routine of my high school life.

It is indeed a time to remember, especially when we are been given holidays from school with joy in our heart we cheer with fellow students. in fact on the day we are to be given a holiday, we will be very early to school and all looking sharp and neat as well and after the pronouncement of the holiday, we dance and play with other student and not wanting to go home again. so funny how time flies. those were the times when our parents put us through with our home assignments.

It was a period where you I found myself in a situation in which when it is morning I will be eager to go to school and when it is noon time, I will equally be eager to return home. those were the times we do not take things to heart as children, we easily forgive and forget whenever there is a fight in class. those where the times we tell nothing but the truth not to get caned in class. during those days, everyone for himself. whenever they a teacher or head prefect ask who did a particular thing such as noise making, we quickly point the student out so that we do not get to be flogged as well.

Those were the times when obedient is better than sacrifice. we so feared our teachers than our parents and also believed that our teachers know more than our parents. it was really a wonderful time.

While presently in my college life, it has been hell and rough. the liberty of having all I wanted is no more available no more, for now I get to do all my assignments myself with no one's help because technically I am an adult. to some extent my dad told me I am now responsible for myself, which implies that anything I get from them is just like a privilege. they believe I can handle much now and seriously that idea is not cool.

College life is very tiring, imagine going for lectures as early in the morning and then coming back from school during late hours without food in your stomach and then one gets to the hostel to start cooking upon the tiredness from the lecture hall and insult from certain lecturers. it is very difficult to cope in college I tell you. this is telling on me so well especially for the fact that I am not from a wealthy home, I have to do my best to succeed in school.

College life is quite tricky. they say to whom much is given, much is expected but in college life reverse is the case and that is to say, to whom little is given, much is expected. well I am not done yet but these are a little about my college life. maybe when I am done and a contest as this comes out in the future I will be able to discuss more about my college life.

THINGS I LIKE ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

I do like something about my high school life and some of these things are written below one after another.

• The Fact that we put on uniforms to identify the school we were attending.

• The Fact that we often have long vacation period up to a month especially in third terms which is known as the promotional term to a new class.

• The Fact that we were graded based on the performance in the class and that helps to trigger me to do better and see the need to be in front and not at the back.

• The fact there has been a day known as speech and prize given day. that day is a day where efforts are being rewarded and prizes are given to the outstanding students in the class. with this helps to motivate student to perform better and do more in class.

THINGS I HATE ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

Well there are a few things I never appreciated in high school during my days and a few are.

• The Fact I was beaten in school. I do not encourage beating seriously I feel punishment is the best for any kid, with punishment a kid can be restructured but beating will never solve a problem.

• The Fact that I never had a good mathematics teacher. this is a big problem in many schools today. competent teachers are not being employed these days and that is why you will find out that a child is in a particular class but does not know certain things in relation to his previous class. and that is why we get to see many children saying, I dislike mathematics. no, they do not dislike it they only had a bad mathematics teacher who do not understand mathematics so well.

• The Fact that teachers insults some students, calling them names all because they do not understand certain topics knowing fully well that learning is a process and we have different types of learners which are the Fast, the average and the slow learners.

THINGS I LIKE ABOUT COLLEGE LIFE

College life is something else though but then I would not say I like nothing about college life. there are a few things I like about college life and some are as follows.

• The fact in which we meet new people and stay together in a room inside the campus. this is one thing I like about college life, we stay in the hostel with different people, so with that you get to meet people of different caliber and with different characters too.

• Freedom of going out is also one thing I like about college life. here your parent do not get to tell you where to go or not but as a good child, one is expected to go where is pleasant to be seen and not expected to go to bad places. so freedom of doing my thing is a plus for me.

• I eat what I want and when I want to. back then at home I often eat whatsoever I find in the pot, but now I can cook my own dish and eat whenever I choose too.

THINGS I HATE ABOUT COLLEGE LIFE

There are also some things I do not like so much about college life and they are seen belw.

• The fact that I come back from school so tired with no ready made meal to eat. this is so annoying, coming back from lectures so late without eating from the start and coming back to preparing a meal to eat is exhausting.

• Frustration from lecturers. this is the part I hate most, lecturers do not care what one is passing through. they come and annoy someone and then go such as I can be given 6-7 assignment a day from different lecturers and if luck is not on my side they can all ask me to submit the assignment the next day, where then will I begin from.so that is so frustrating at times.

• Extortion by lecturers through selling handout to students at a high rate. I also hate the fact that lecturers do not have student at heart, they often bring new materials weekly for student to buy just to feed their own nest leaving the student to wonder where to get money from. and getting these materials is often made mandatory else one fails the course.

So these are some of the things I hate about college life.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED ME

I learned many thing during m high school life. I got to know through the educational system that one needs to work hard to be successful and through that hard works at the end of the day, you will get reward for the work you have done and that has been in my mind all through. the hunger for success has been there from the very first day. the time I came first in class was the best day ever and I felt quite successful so from that day I learned that hard work pays.

It has impacted my life so well. now where ever I go and I sense the spirit of competition, I will always do my best to work harder than my competitors and with that I get to be at the top most times and also I do not just give up, If I fall today I know I will surely rise tomorrow and that has been keeping me thus far.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN MY COLLEGE LIFE AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED ME

I have also learned a lot. although I have not stayed in school that long but with the friends around, I learned how to chase my dreams. having friends that have the same goal as you is something to be proud of. so having friends that are serious have taught me many things, they have given me ideas and put me in the right track whenever I am going wrong and that has been my sustainability ever since I met them.

Also staying alone has made me to rely solely on my self in some aspect. there are things I do not just do on my own back then in high school unless my parent come through for me but now I do them by my self without any body's assistance and living a life of freedom has opened my eyes to the bachelorhood.

And these have also impacted me a lot in several ways. sometimes I do not get food to eat and probably I do not want to disturb my parent for that week, I will just hang out with friends and be a man. somethings are not always fine but I do put on a smiling face each day to pretend all is well after all everyone got their individual problems. so that has been keeping me going till date.

THE LIFE I PREFER

To me, college life is the best because during high school life, my parent gave me almost everything and since I do not know what life is all about, I lavish them all but when I got to college, It was then I figured out the pains and stress my parent went through for me during my high school life and even to date. so to me, college life is better. For this will change my view to becoming a hard working person too.
