Reasons Why Students Lose Interest On Their Dreams & Goals

What went wrong, I wondered, that we began to lose interest in what was once so dear to us? What caused the rapid shift in interest? What might be the reasons for this?

For someone like me, I had a lot of passions, but they all died out; I just seemed to lose them. I've noticed that some of my colleagues have lost interest in the course they opted to pursue. What's the secret to this lack of passion?

There are numerous causes behind this, but I'd like to share a few that I believe could explain why individuals lose interest in what they have; it impacts everyone, not just students.

Not Willing To Make Sacrifice

We must sacrifice our time in order to develop something vibrant. This implies that we would devote time that would otherwise be spent on other things to it. If you believe your passion is worth more than what you are currently doing, this is the option for you. If you believe this, you should be willing to make sacrifices to help develop it. Since "Sacrifice begets Growth," it is necessary to make a sacrifice in order to obtain anything in life. Every day, you make sacrifices, the majority of which are your time, effort, and energy. If you don't do this, your passion is on the verge of extinction.

A Depressing Environment

Our environment is one of several aspects that influence our development. Do we have individuals in our lives who encourage us to pursue our passions and ideas, or do they tend to discourage us? When a large number of people try to dissuade us from pursuing our dreams, we will eventually get the same mindset that they did.

Lack Of Circles

Aside from having an unfavorable environment, having a circle is important. What I mean is that if your environment is depressing and you have a network of individuals who share similar or comparable interests, they may be able to provide the motivation your environment lacks. Trying to hang out with people who share similar interests will help you develop and build ideas.

Lack Of Plan

Do you have a plan for creating or fulfilling your passion, aside from having one? Let me give you an example: if you have a passion for graphic design, how are you going to pursue that interest? You can't sit around doing nothing and not making plans or taking steps toward what you want to do, otherwise it will die out and you will move on to something else.
