CHRISTMAS AND ITS ORIGIN

What is Christmas?
Christmas is a yearly Christian celebration of their saviour born by a virgin (Mary)who had a husband called Joseph,as it's been noted and documented in their scripture # THE BIBLE.
This celebration is been celebrated on 25th of December in the western church..
Actually 25th of December goes far back in A.D 273 when People who are unbelievers of Christ celebrate a pagan festival at ancient years of man .
25th of December was accepted to counteract the influence of paganism to their present time, and also they're have theories behind this date of celebration for Christians.
In early years you f mankind and Christiandom religion on this day, its celebrates some sort of holidays around that time and also it has been known that from the Jewish Chanukah to pegan winter sotice to Germanic yule logs, mistletoe and feasts seem to point to a season of celebration to which Christians added the birth of Jesus as a counter-cultural event and possibly even an escape from the pagan holidays for early believers.

Christians sees the truth implicit in this pegan tradition that reflects that of christ is the light of the world.
The second theory centers around the date accepted by the western church of march 25 as the annuciation or immaculate conception of JESUS in mary's womb

conculsion :

Well I know with this brief history about Christmas it's to looks complicated tho but as far as we are all christian and we read the scriptures and understand what it teaches about Christ and its life on earth,Although not all christian believe in Christmas which I think it's a right to man not to be force to believe in something.
Anyways I Will like to use this opportunity to wish all members of campus connect a happy and fruitful Christmas 🥳.
