CAMPUS EXCLUSIVE|| Second Day On The Field, 13/02/2022

Hello everyone. Happy Sunday to you all. Trust that everyone is going great? As most of us are enjoying our Sunday, it was another data collection day for me and my team. This time around, our data collection was on businesses located around the Central Business District(CBD) of Zaria which is located at PZ, Sabon gari local government.

A CBD is a geographical area in which major trades are being carried out. It's land use varies from residential, industrial, commercial and administration. It usually located in the center of the city away from residential areas. Questionnaires were distributed amongst ourselves and we went plot by plot to interact with these traders.

After the data collection, we sat down to analyze and get useful information from our data. According to our results, land rent are actually expensive in the area.
The average amount you can get a land in the area is about #209,000. Land use in the area are used for the following reasons:

• Commercial(Trading)purposes.
• Workshop purposes.

We also came to the realization that there's a relationship between land rent and distance which is the farther a land from the CBD, the less the rent of the building and this can be tied to lack of patronage.

We also discovered that land rent varies as a result of land use and land size. For example, a land used for warehousing is expected to be big in size compared to a land used for commercial purposes like trading.
Thanks to my teammates, we were able to conduct our survey, analyze and drive out information on time for submission. It wasn't easy at all but we did it.
